I predict Dirty Sanchez watches the second half from the bench as the Jests try to overcome a 17-0 first half.

Andre Johnson catches 100 passes for 2000 yards in the first half.
No seriously, Jets lose 21-10SICK, steveincolorado and Sethdaddy8 like this. -
Depends on Chandelier Schaub's health to the truth of it PS17, if he is in the Texans lineup they probably will win because Houston this time of the year is incredibly humid, almost as muggy as Miami is.
I'll say Texans...20-7...Sanchez meets the NFL, it takes some time to get their feet wet, even Flacco started out slowly... -
-
-
I was joking about that part anyway. -
He has some very un-experienced receivers and still to be proven if they are worth a darn.
He hasnt looked at more than 1 receiver per play the entire pre-season and he has Jabba the fat as a head coach.
Super Mario is gonna make him his personal BEATCH...
Other than that, just a hunch.
Whatchu got?Frumundah Finnatic and steveincolorado like this. -
And PS17, Revis will need help with Andre Johnson. Revis is a good cb, but not as good as Jet fans think. Andre is a freak. No single cb would fair well against him.
Unfortunately, I think Sanchez may be better than I hoped for. But he's still gonna take lumps. Ryan as a coach, I think will be as mediocre as I originally thought.
Texans 24 - Jets 13 -
As it is, the Texans can run Zones and Tampa Twos and just rely on Mario Williams and friends to give Sanchez problemsazfinfanmang likes this. -
I see it being a Pretty close game. Maybe 24-21 or 21-20 for the Texans
-
-
78-2 Texans win.
Sanchez goes off in the 4th and starts crying and tries to send a text to Pete Carroll asking to come back. -
Texans- 27
Jets-17 -
OOO, a fat coach hurts the team...Somebody inform Parcells.
Mario owns the Phins, not the Jets. -
As far as the "un-experienced" WR's, you may be right about that, but they have talent. Cothery isn't your ideal #1 but he is steady, runs good routes, and has been the Jets most reliable receiver for 3+ years now. Stuckey has looked great, and he had a few TD catches last season. All Clowney does is burn guys for TD's. He is a raw receiver, but he can fly and he has hands. Don't forget about Keller, who is a stud and will most likely be Sanchez's #1 target and his security blanket over the middle of the field. So are they inexperienced? Yes. But are they terrible? Not at all. Watch the film.
About Sanchez staring down receivers at times, it's not as bad as you make it out to be. He has been picked once.
Mario Williams? Yes he might get his one sack, big whoop. One of the most overrated stats in sports. DBrickashaw Ferguson is an elite pass blocking LT and it would not surprise me in the least if he keeps Sanchez's jersey clean the whole day.
Now, would you care to address the terrible Houston run defense??

Ferguson isn't an elite pass blocking LT. He's good, but not elite. Mario Williams can certainly get by him a couple times.
Hate to say this, but I got the Jets. It doesn't really matter if they don't have any WRs, or if Sanchez is a rookie starting his first game. Texans run D is awful. Jones and Washington will combine for 200+ rushing yards, and Jets D shuts down Texans O.
Jets win 21-7
But, you guys still suck.BleedinGreenNC and TiP54 like this. -
Where are the Jets going to get their pass rush from week 1? With no pressure on Schaub that offense will tear apart the Jets defense.
-
21-7 Texans win. Sanches takes 3 sacks and 2 int's. I expect him to get better as the season progresses. Maybe like the 4th or 5th game.
-
But seriously...I don't think (or don't want, not sure which one, maybe both) Sanchez will be any good. but Texans D IS pretty terrible. So we will see. -
Anyway, I'm not on the Houston bandwagon, they'll find a way to underachieve I'm sure and it will probably start week 1 with a loss to the Jets. I'd imagine the ground game will win it for NY though rather than Sanchez's arm. All they really need is for him not to begin the game with two pick six's. -
Mario Williams impregantes Sanchez, an investigation is launched into the identity of Sanchez' gender.
Maybe its because he wasnt that good in college
Maybe its because your team scares no one.
Maybe its because your coach is just as loud as his dad and twice as stupid.Pagan, jetssuck, huck1974 and 1 other person like this. -
Watch as each week he - JUST like that blubbery man-boobed sportswriter for the NY Post - not only predicts the Jets to win every game...but makes them his BEST BET too!
BTW, Cannilardass's annual "This Season Will Be Something Special For The Jets" column came out today, where he predicts them to go 10-6 and land the wild card spot.
Of course, how they'll do that with a rookie head coach, a rookie QB, and NO receivers with a schedule that features the Patriots twice, the Jags, Titans, Falcons, Saints, Panthers, Bucs and Colts is beyond me. :lol:SICK, late again and Frumundah Finnatic like this. -
Havent you paid attention Pagan? only the Dolphins have a hard schedule everyone else plays the Lions 16 straight times.
HardKoreXXX, late again and Pagan like this. -
16 - 13 Texans.
-
I have Houston 27-24. The Jets will try to manufacture pressure by blitzing a ton but Houston's offense is very balanced and will negate that somewhat. Houston will also have more opportunities b/c Sanchez will make some mistakes. Sure they'll try to protect him by running a lot but he will still have to make some plays. In the end the Jets make one too many mistakes and Houston gets the win.
-
There's no way 8-9 wins even sniffs the Wild Card, so I expect it to start raining unicorns before that happens.late again and Frumundah Finnatic like this. -

Unless the jets get pressure on schaub, the jets will be in for a long day. Owen Daniels is the guy I don't think they can cover. They don't have a LB to cover him and if they put Rhodes on him thats going to leave someone one on one on the outside more and likely Kevin Walter. I don't think sheppard can cover him.
On offense, the jets probably will be able to move the ball but I don't know if they will be able to score consistently enough. If the OL can keep pressure off of Sanchez then i could see them putting up 3 scores on the suspect Texans defense. 24-21 Texans right now. -
I don't see the Jets overcoming all the Houston offense has to offer, especially not without Pace and Ellis. Revis might be able to cover AJ with some help, but then Daniels and Slaton will punish them. If they go all out against the pass then I think Slaton makes them pay there. Pick your punishment with Hou.
The only way I see NY winning this game is if Walter misses it, and Washington goes absolutely nuts.
I see Houston winning 27-17.
