I will be at the game this weekend, I better not see our fans taking any **** from these New Yorkers. **** the Jets. **** their fans. FINS UP
Nowhere near as confident this week as I was about last week. The Jets are strong up the middle, we have to try and get Reggie to the edges. Holmes and Keller if he plays will be a handful for our secondary. I'm just worried they shut down our run game and then blitz the life out of Tannehill.
You can count on this from down 1. Will be a great test for Tanny. Either he beats it and - yeah for us; or he gets slaughtered and learns from it. He didn't see blitz packages like this against the Texans and Raiders. Will be a good test for the kid.
Well, their interior run defense could slow our rushing attack. Which means Tannehill has to pass more. But against Rex's very disguised fronts and coverages, which are apt to confuse the hell out of a rookie.
You have to tire those fat D-linmen out, man. This would be the PERFECT week to start executing a lot of great HB screens and WR screens. Maybe 6 or 7 of them early in the game. Get those Dlinemen running in circles, and chasing the sidelines. Then let the heat and humidity take its toll.
I'd pay ten bucks for an animated gif of Philbin dancing in the locker room. Those two gifs would get me through a year of posting here without typing a word.
I do worry about the revenge factor coming back to bite us... Recall Dante Culpepper and when he came back here. Recall Cam Cameron coming back as the Ravens OC... We've been somewhat embarrassed when it comes to this. It would be beyond great if we could secure a W on Sunday. One of the biggest wins in a long long time. But lets not get too down if it doesn't go our way. This game means a hell of a lot more to them than us. They are supposed to win. They are supposed to be a playoff team. We're just the little Dolphins who are supposed to finish last in the AFCE this year. You just know the Jets held out Revis/Keller so they could be healthy for us. Side note... last time Packers played Jets in 2010 GB beat them 9 to 0 in New York. Of course we have a totally different offense than the Packers in terms of what we do well (run the ball).
I think this game means as much to us as it does to them , part of the mindset this team needs. No reason we can't win this game , we will have to play well which is as it should be , be nice to be a tough out at home again wouldn't it?
Revenge for what? He did his best with what he had. He was a good guy in over his head as a head coach, overawed by an egomaniac and saddled with a senile offensive coordinator and a dodo whose idea of a good personnel move was to see who Dallas was going to release that week. Not that Tannenbaum and Rexie are any prizes, but I'll bet he's happy.
He was. Sucked. Doesn't mean he wasn't a good guy who did his best even after Ross went out to Frisco to hire Harbaugh without telling Sparano. Total company man.
Its true, he didn't get to pick his DC & OC, but he did pick Bonamego. Bonamego is to ST what Wanny is to the Draft. The worst part was Bonamego blew for awhile and it wasn't until the single worst special teams performance in the history of the NFL did Sparano **** can him. He also never intervened when it came to the offense even though he's a respectable OC in his own right. And all the effing meddling with the Oline has set back our team. And I'm sorry, but for all the talk of the players loving him, they sure as hell didn't show up in shape and try to get him out of the doghouse. If Tony had been better we are looking at least having 9-10 win season instead of the 6-7 wins we had.
look at this pouncey interview...at the 0:23 mark......"can't wait....its gonna be a physical game" love it and if he thinks he is more excited for this game than i am , he is dead wrong...lol http://www.miamidolphins.com/media/...lability/3d4884aa-6eb9-4797-9efc-d61fc1148b55
FML if we get out smarted by Tony Sparano. I want to see Sparano with a bottle of pepto by the end of the 4th...I don't see that zebra being able to change it's stripes. Expect Sparano to take 2-3 deep shots a game. Expect him to muck up the 2 min. drill. Expect him to ignite his team by counter-intuitive trick plays at least twice. Expect the fist pump. Expect the glasses. Expect the 'kay.
i was lurking on jets.com and listened to rex ryan press conferences from wednesday,.when he lists the injured players i thought...man they are banged up already Rex Ryan http://www.newyorkjets.com/photos-a...-it-Gets/7738f146-6ad7-456b-9107-65ff0b0aafcd
He really brags on Reggie and calls Tannehill the Veteran of the bunch. Notice how the wildcat is no longer a gimmick play but he calls it a personnel grouping. Gotta love the media raging on why Tebow doesn't get more snaps to Rex.
kevin burnett is questionable to play after missing practice today with a foot injury, i believe he plays, he was laughing around on the media session, also marlon moore with a harmstring injury did not practice
Look for the Jets who have been pretty conservative with their wildcat formation to break it out this weekend on Tony's old team.. If you watch the first game the Jets tested it a little to see how Tebow would fit. They lined up I think twice with it last week and I really think Tony wants to showcase it against us trying to get a win against his former team. They will also be trying to go deep. They feel we have a weak secondary. Our D Line needs to be creative and apply pressure and make Mr. inconsistent make some mistakes..
Looking forward to Reggie at 200 total yards and Soliai with 2 interceptions and special teams domination! Not looking forward to Dustin Keller beating us up all day. Edit: Interesting.
I absolutely love how pumped the team is for this game. Philbin and the players were talking about how there's an extra bounce to their steps this week. I cannot wait until Sunday!
Thanks ck! Reminds me of all those great comedic articles Con used to do... I miss them. Let Dansby cover Keller. They are going to try to contain RT in the pocket, and get some tipped balls. Sherman showed us last week that he will adjust (unlike Sparano), and I look for some more good zone schemes this week to force some misdirection on passing and running downs. Obviously the first thing they will try to do is contain Reggie. If he starts out hot, and we score first, it will be a LONG day for the Jests...
If somebody could go to YouTube and post this video I promise you will laugh harder than you ever have.. Punch in " it's tough being a jet fan", it's a kid in the video..appropo to this thread, I just don't know how to post the video.
