Just a heads up. I will be watching. Hopefully we can gain a little more light on this situation.
If we can all chip in a few quotes here and there from the PC for those who are working or might not have immediate access to this, it would be greatly appreciated. I will be home and will post what I can.

I know you cover the team, and may have some contacts, etc. Do you think any backlash comes down from the league regarding this incident IF it is found to come out in a negative light? Maybe possible player/coaching suspensions? -
Darlington on NFLN phone call
Reports that there are 80 some number of media members live, regular crowd.... close to 10
Doesn't expect anything new being said -
It moved an hour earlier.. so far philbin saying straight up no comment
-
-
On now!
(And the opening question)
Reporter - "Is that a normal thing in the NFL where you have to coach a 'soft' player, to have players toughen them up?"
Philbin (clearly agitated) - "I didn't call anybody soft. You're the one who used the word soft." -
Not word for word
"....players and my staff, the kind of culture that i have championed since the days i walked through these doors, has been one of honesty and respect and accountability in one another I consider those to be hallmarks of this program and i believe our locker room reflects those beliefs, i believe in the men in our locker room and the men in our coaching staff and that is exactly what i communicated to them.
It keeps going on -
"I have no further comment"......I think he likes to be photographed.

Tannehill doing a good job IMO. Probably the most confident I've seen him in a press conference.

It's obvious the team is fully behind Richie..they know there was nothing malicious even though the morons in the media can't find the angle of this type of joking..
Ryan Tannehill stepping up as a leader, really sounding distinct, speaking louder, just acting like a leader..
Coach was pissed off, he probably knew he had to suspend one of the teams favorite players for less than indicting reasons..
He wouldn't answer the question on whether he told his staff to toughen up Martin.
Well, I finally got my pissed off team..
Lets go kick some *** the rest of the season..hopefully somehow Richie can come back.Frumundah Finnatic, DOLPHAN1 and mullingan like this. -
Tannehill seemed very sincere in his answers. Didnt have to think about anything. He said they both seemed like best friends and cogs said he considered martin his little brother... which Tannehill said was a very accurate depiction. The joke in the lunch room was something they did to everyone including tanny a few times. And all of the allegations are "mind blowing"

I am really surprised that the staff is allowing him to comment on this situation. Sometimes players are told to keep it hush hush. Refreshing to hear Tannehill's perspective.

Why the hell does the media think this was malicious, that's what's mind numbing, is to how ignorant these adults are about friendship p, ribbing each other, and football teams, maybe Richie is'nt the most acute when it comes to sensitivity awareness, but it's obvious now this team has his back.mullingan likes this.
