Nice to see Henne and Ginn looking good on those deep balls. Hopefully the two can develop a nice chemistry.

I don't think anyone here has ever questioned Ginn's speed, so hopefully we'll see Henning an Co. take a few more shots and stretch the field.

awesome news.....im as giddy as i was before week 1......this is cool!

 

Very good to hear about Ginn getting hit on some of those deep throws. He was wide open for 6 twice in game 1, at least once in game 2, and again twice in game 3.

I think the throws were close enough that he may have gotten a hand on 1 of them, the rest were completely overthrown with no chance to even touch them. Also on one of those the ball was thrown out of bounds due to pressure..... But over the first 3 games Ginn has been wide open deep at least once per game.

Thats a lot of points we have left on the field.

 

The difference between 0-3 and a possible 3-0, at worst 2-1.

 

Just the thought of us being able to hit plays anywhere on the field makes my pants fit tight.

 

It would change our offense a great deal..... But lets keep in mind this was in practice, Henne is going to have to be able to do it on Sunday for it to matter.

I cant wait for the next couple games though, it could go well or badly, but I am looking forward to it.

i think one of the best things about Henne coming in is you are going to see our receivers play with a renewed vigor. This is the best thing that could have happened to Ginn and I think we're all finally going to see what he's capable of. Up until now we've expected him to perform at an A+ level with a bunch of C, D and F arms. Ted Ginn, you now have an A arm throwing to you. Prove you belong

 

Agreed, now is his chance, and he had better make the most of it.

 

Will they show CP's presser on aquavision, or somewhere else?

 

I like Thigpen alot. He won me over when we played them last season. The guy is a gamer!

 

It's good to hear Henne and Ginn are connecting. Still I have to take it with a grain of salt as this is against our own struggling secondary. I hope they can do it in a live game against the enemy. It would be very nice to see.

 

It says Sean Smith got beat both times, and he's probably been our best corner thus far. I realize that's not saying much :lol:

Smith did a nice job on White, Wayne, and Jackson...for the most part...soooo...if Ginn is beating him, he's ready to break out and be awesome..right?

nobody has ever questioned his ability to get open deep ... the only thing he has to do now is catch the ball and score some TDs to silence us critics (for now anyways) ...

if he can do that, and our secondary gets better with Clemons ... we can still reach 8-8 comfortably.

 

you think our running game looks good now...henne at the position and what that specificly does to our ground game, makes me feel funny in my happy place, lol.

 

For some reason, I'm really not all that disappointed Porter may miss the game. I really would like to see Wake and Moses get some opportunities.

 

Prez, i think we have something serious in common..For over a year ive felt that theres no way the offense could reach its potential while chad was under center. We respected him because he found other ways to get it done, but eventually defenses will adjust and close in on you. Henne gives the offense a shot of B12..

I believe that you will see a whole new dynamic to the offense, our running game will look better, our passing game will look better, our Yac will be much better, and we have a group of receivers that collectively have excellent hands, which with the speed that henne sets up in the pocket, and the velocity of his release and ball flight, our receivers will be able to snatch balls expodentially quicker relative to Penny. which in return will give them their space to make some football movements..

From what i seen from bess in san diego, this kid is about to blowup with that extra time he gets with henne throwin to him. The cut and movements he made in that game were special, and that was with people on top of him because of the speed for which the ball got to him.

Its a whole new season,something ive been waiting for.

 

i agree that once Henne is truly comfortable in the offense and the coaching staff has confidence in him you are going to see all facets of our offense benefit from the greater spacing of the defenders they face. It may take four weeks to get into that comfort zone (you have no idea how much I'm hoping for a cinderalla start) but once they get to know how to play with each other our entire offense should ramp up in production quickly

 

Miami lines up in a two back set, Ginn flanking to the far side. Henne takes the snap, fakes to Brown. He's got a man open... It's Ginn, and he's GONE!!!!! Touchdown Miami!!!!!

We all need to remember that Penny threw a VERY catchable ball. With Henne now throwing with the extra heat on the ball, our WRs might have to relearn how to catch a live ball. What I am saying is we all need to be prepared for the POSSIBILITY of a few dropped balls, but if that doesnt happen.......great.

 

Brother, I am, Joey Porter was having a good start to the season and was probably our best playmaker on defense.

Love Wake and Moses potential but we are 0-3, I'd prefer if they went into battle with all of our best players on the field

 

Its great to be optimistic about the combination of Henne's arm and Ginn's speed, but the fact that they hooked up for 2 deep balls in practice means absolutely nothing to me.

I went to a lot of the training camp practices open to the public this year and a lot of the people that looked good in practice did nothing when it came to game time.

All in all I am definitely excited about the potential we have in Henne, but I'm not expecting Henne/Ginn to come out blazing and become a great duo.

Of course, I hope I am dead wrong and they combine for 150+ yds and 2 TDs
