After the interview, I really like this kid even more.
First of all, if you listen to his interview I think you'll get a sense of the perfect attitude of a Philbin player. Secondly and most importantly, he names the best things about his game as power and pass protection.
I think its a lock he's the 3rd down back at this point (barring injury).
-
really hoping he makes the team, he looked great in the HOF game.
-
he's in a weird spot. Eventually a decision is going to have to be made at RB.
Everyone hates daniel thomas and maybe they get their wish. I think the rumors of his demise have been greatly exaggerated personally but we'll see.
If they keep gray, it's because they'll make a spot for him and not cause they cut thomas to do it.
Miller looks promising. Im very excited, but maybe he doesnt work out. We'll need Thomas/Gray/Gillislee then. -
Glad we kept him last season, so far looking good with his opportunities here. Hope for the best for him.
-
he's a keeper
nothing wrong with a four man running stable
especially, if they can contribute to special teams
Miller/Thomas/Gray/GillisleePhinsRock likes this. -
-
I see a potential spell back and short yardage role. -
If Miller were injured I could see Gray getting equal snaps with Thomas. I think Gillislee was a wasted pick. We could have used our 7th round comp pick on RB Michael Cox and stashed him on the practice squad.
-
At the scrimmage in Sun Life he sure looked big for being only 5'9" I was impressed with his running more than Gillislee.

We had four RBs last year (including Thigpen). It will be interesting what happens at KR/PR. I think the outcome there could have bearing on some players like Gray.
But, I've really liked Gray since seeing his play in college. He has some great quads - lots of power. And has some decent speed. -

They were both wasted picks. Ireland is an extreme idiot.
