Big Jake hasn't been having a good game either. As a matter of fact, the whole O-Line has been pretty dang bad. Martin is a rookie- but honestly- who will play in place of him? Unless you wanna roll with Hicks + Jerry on the right side.

I'm not giving him a pass at all. He has been beyond awful. But we really don't have any good options on the line.

he recoverd a fumble after letting Abraham in for a hit on Tannehill, that's worth something :tongue2:

seriously, even if he was going to show improvement, he's going to look like crap going up against Abraham.

wish you guys would stop whining. not like we have a replacement that's significantly better. let the kid play, keep Fasano in to help

He isn't playing against Abraham, Long is. The fact is that Martin has looked terrible against every defensive linemen he has faced so far in the preseason.

Stating that the Dolphins don't have anyone better than Martin certainly doesn't change the fact that Martin has looked completely overwhelmed in the NFL. Unfortunately, he also was overwhelmed when he played against the better DE's in college and drafting him in the second round certainly appears right now to have been another wasted second round pick by the Dolphins.

Sorry, but I was unaware of what particular play you were referring too, since Martin has been beaten by whichever DL he has been facing tonight. If you were referring to the play in which he recovered the fumble, he was not going against Abraham on that play. Long was. Perhaps you should watch the TV to see what is actually happening on the field.

The drops have been way more problematic than Jonathan Martin.
