Not really impressed with Philbin. Guy definitely isn't a leader.

Jeff Ireland? I think that's a fair possibility if he's threatened by the purported Dawn Aponte - Joe Philbin alliance.

Our whatever coach was reamed in front of everybody at practice, who we still don't know the identity of.

I can't see this ending well. Its getting a ton of press which is going to force the NFL to get involved.....not good. This hasn't been handled well by the Dolphins and if this issue was brought to Philibin and the Dolphins before the season even started then it brings a lot of things into question. I know a lot of people think this sort of thing happens everywhere, and that might be true, but if a player complained about this kind of treatment and was ignored its a big issue for the team. I thought at first that Martin would just come back after a few days take a week on the sideline and we'd be laughing about it. Now I can't see any scenario that has Martin returning to this team, this year at least.

Outside Martin's desire to play football they didn't really say what they talked about, just more speculation.

So he complained about treatment, but then turned around and bullied someone else? I don't get it.

This is getting out of hand. I cannot believe how soft this dude was. He ran and told the coach...smh. How about you punch Richie in his mouth in front of everyone and you would have gotten some respect.

Yeah, a high draft pick is a *****, so of course fire the coach.

I'd have benched his *** so fast Ginger Ireland would be blubbering.

Coach Shula would never, not once, put up with that crap, if Martin has his little ducky feelings hurt then no damn way he could ever play for him.

That's the standard, and it was 20 yrs ago, and it remains true today.

Guy does not want to play (that is to say, if he is young and uninjured) and doubts his own desire to play, do not put that guy on the field, it will show up in his professional approach.

All of this hand wringing etc, merely exposes how some men have lost their balls.

I think I'm going to go to work tomorrow morning and slap a coworker a few times and tell him to buy me lunch all week. I mean if he isn't man enough to stop me what's wrong with it.

They are still employees being paid to do a job. The fact that they're playing a children's game doesn't mean they should act like children. They're well compensated professionals participating in a multi-billion dollar industry. The frat boy days should end when they graduate or enter the NFL draft.

You're comparing apples to oranges. An NFL locker room is not the same as a regular office. Not even close.

They're employees in a workplace. If they can do it I want to be able to do it. Can only rich people do these things? If I can get a six figure salary is it OK then? The military doesn't even condone it as I mentioned earlier. Is the military the same as a regular office?

The ironic thing about all this is the two players in question, incognito and Martin, pretty much didnt play against Cincy. We didnt need either of them to beat one of the hottest teams in the league, so **** it.

And here is where it runs off of the rails, this is not the local mortgage office, it is a profession where men play with injuries that a regular job would give you a month off to recover from, NFLers play the next week.

This is why if a guy doubts his desire to play, he should not play...period.

"..yeah you are playing with a torn labrum, for me, IDK man, this whole football thing, not sure I want to be out here..."

They aren't in a workplace. And now your comparing them to the military? Winning a football game is now as important as the safety of an entire country? Oh boy. Obviously the military has to crack down on this because they can't hav people leave the military for any reason. Martin can leave football any time he wants. And he did. Least he had the stones to leave finally.

Ok, so incognitos to blame for bullying? Cut him. I'd cut Martin too because he sucks anyway. Garner and clabo will get us though the season.

Yes this alleged behavior isn't allowed in the military where people get their heads blown off. I doubt the hundreds of thousands who have spent time in Iraq and Afghanistan put these players on a pedestal the way you do. It's a tough job sure but they'll live and they are generally very WELL compensated.

Wait what? NFL players aren't employees at work? The idea that this "if you don't like it just GTFO" mentality is just fine in football while almost universally admonished for any other line of work conceivable is mind boggling to me.
