Really surprised nobody has mentioned the fact that we may have drafted a safety that can possibly play opposite of Reshad Jones eventually. He's my favorite player drafted behind Tunsil, and Drake. He's versatile, has played the press coverage at PSU that we want to play, he's been good in run support, needs to improve in pass coverage (who doesn't), really good tackler, has already a lot of experience (34 starts at PSU), ballhawk, but not a player you leave on an island with a receiver like OBJ, but still could be a nice surprise for us. I think he'll settle in at free safety for us if he can make the team.

How many safeties are put on islands with players like OBJ? If he can become something like a Brock Marion we will be in great shape. We haven't had a FS that has come close to his level of play.

I think this is absolutely correct. No S can cover OBJ...and we aren't looking for this guy to be Ronnie Lott...BM would be ideal. Excellent post.dolphin25 likes this.
