Would you want Sparano as your coach knowing what you do? If I saw the team struggling I would definitely try to take over the unit a bit. A lot of stupid people get to jobs way higher than what their pay grade should be. Somehow Tony Sparano has made four years of it. The only progress he's made as far as coaching is that he's lost weight. His discipline levels which were what the team prided itself on back in 2008 have slipped tremendously. They just don't know what they're doing. I'm really serious when I say Daboll should get a look at as HC. From what I can see he uses what he has in simple, effective ways. He makes adjustments, he takes risks, and when somebody isn't performing he takes them off the field.
Extensions do not mean anything. He is a lame duck coach and he knows it. If Sparano is let go he will get the remaining money owned to him.
I hope this information is correct, Sparano never should have been brought back... he is a pacelian experiment in coaching gone bad!
I don't think it's a big stretch to say that fist pumper will lose his job over the bye week if we haven't won a game.
I said a while ago they gave him an advance so when he got fired, he had a little more money....IMO if he does get fired around Week 4-5-6, they never wanted him in the first place, and went for Harbaugh but couldn't reel him in....I don't care what the media says....
What I find most upsetting with the statements from Taylor and some of the other players is that the Dolphins continue to make the same mistakes in the game, they make during practice. The entire time Sparano has been the coach of the Dolphins, he always states after every loss that the the players mistakes in the game can be fixed. Yet the Dolphins have been making the same type of mistakes to lose games since Sparano became the head coach. Now we find out that the coaches aren't correcting the mistakes in practice and instead just letting the mistakes in practice carry over to the game. Sparano is correct, mistakes can be fixed. Ross should start by fixing the major mistake the Dolphins have right now. He should fire Sparano immediately and appoint an interim coach from the present staff. It is obvious by the statement of Taylor that Sparano just isn't providing the coaching necessary to turn this team around.
I don't think JT is set out to destroy regimes. I think he loves his team, teammates and football. The problem is JT doesn't have a filter between his head and his mouth. So if there are unflattering things happening, they'll come to light through JT.
whoa..don't compare me to Incarcerated Bob. My sources are actually right most of the time. Incarcerated Bob only has a line into the Jets and not much else.
I think the dude gave more to this franchise than half of this board combined. You certainly don't have to love him, but the implicit and explicit hatred towards Jason Taylor says a lot more about this fanbase than any suck for Luck comment.
