"Julio Jones said "I'm outta there" when asked if he wants to be traded. Jones answered a question from Shannon Sharpe about whether he'd like to land in Dallas this season. Jones, 32, didn't name a preferred trade destination but reiterated he wants to win. It's the strongest indication yet that the Falcons great won't be on the team's Week 1 roster. New Falcons general manager Terry Fontenot has made no effort to shoot down chatter about a potential Jones trade. Meanwhile, Jones reportedly wants to play with Cam Newton in New England, though the Patriots are not among the nine teams with enough salary cap space to absorb Julio's guaranteed $15.3 million 2021 salary without moving money around. A blockbuster Julio trade in the coming weeks would send Calvin Ridley's and Kyle Pitts' average draft positions into orbit. A second and a fifth maybe, but they are dreaming given his recent injury history, price tag, and age that a team will cough up a first rounder. I assume they are just starting high to negotiate down from there and not out of touch with reality. A free agent for Miami could be Bell, as we still need a RB and he could come cheap ($1 million plus incentives maybe). He would be a good third down option if nothing else.
Just read that this is a done deal to the Titans. It didn't list what draft picks went to Atlanta though.
He still has his supporters here... I‘m just glad, the RT thread is not one of the frontrunners in this forum anymore.
ATL gets 22 2nd and 23 4th TEN get Julio and 22 6th and this thread gets to go to the other NFL forum.
In my opinion, the Titans just became the AFC odds on favorite to go the the Super Bowl. Their offense is going to be virtually unstoppable
That's gotta be rough- walking into work and having them tell you, "We're going to cut you a check for $23 million to help the franchise balance the books." Umm, okay...I can live with that.
Tannehill survived Philbin and Gase. He deserves everything he gets. I totally rooted for him when they got to the AFC championship. I don’t think Julio puts them over KC or Buffalo but the Titans have to be pretty happy we gave him away for a 4th round pick while we gave up a 2nd for Rosen…
According to some spin doctors here, we didnt give up a 2nd for Rosen.. they said this just about a million times. It was a monopoly second round pick ticket we had to play with.
