http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencet...upiter-loses-stripes-scientists-idea-why.html This is interesting. Though the first thing I thought of when I read this was a few years ago, the global warmers were saying that our global warming was effecting Mars, and I was half expecting to see that mentioned as a possible reason for Jupiter losing a stripe. Jupiter is a failed star, so it makes sense that like solar flares in a star, you could expect to see changes in its appearance.
Lost a stripe but picked up a mole... check out that thing on the left where the stripe used to be... or is that a zit? maybe cancer?? too much sun!!!
This could potentially be very serious or even catastrophic. Much like global warming, if we don't act now, it could mean the end of our solar system. We need to put research probes on the surface of jupiter ASAP. I've illustrated the best places to land the probes to get maximum effect for their limited search radius, below:
For one, I'm willing to join this fight although I don't have a spaceship... How long would a motorboat take to get there?...
You guys joke, but this is a serious matter. If we don't push our resources towards this we'll never stay abreast of the potential catastrophe. Having done a little research, it seems Japan is ahead of us again:
