lets align this brutal, ugly, racist sport with the 21st. Century reality in which it exists.

I suggest we simply play flag/coed football & make some additional rules:

1) ban trash talking or any species of vulgarity or curse words.
2) end the coin toss. the right way to begin a game would be for the home team to cross their field & shake hands with the visitors, wishing them a very safe & pleasant game while allowing them to choose (as guests) how they would like to start the game.
3) everyone on NFL rosters & the coaching staff will be represented proportionately. religion, political ideology & sexual orientation should be the Rooney Rule of Consideration in any employment within the NFL on & off the field.
4) we should add two referees to each game to assure the conformity to rules & review every play that results in a score or flag thrown during the game.
5) franchise owners should be subject to special entertainment taxes to level the playing field & help redistribute wealth. any owner found in violation or moral turpitude or profiteering will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
6) a Federal Football Czar will replace the current NFL Commissioner & a standing Football Oversight Committee assigned by Congress.
7) anyone on special assistance or welfare will be entitled to a season ticket. there will be an internet program developed & "navigators" employed to facilitate the registration of said recipients of season tickets.
8) no "junk food" or alcoholic beverages will be sold in or allowed to enter the stadium, parking lots or any properties owned by or associated with the NFL...
9) blatant & repeated poor sportsmanship can result in the forfeiture of the game & automatic five game suspension to the parties involved.


*every team will receive a Commemoration Plaque & every player a plastic trophy at the end of the year!

as for being under center, that is not the best place for Tannehill to hang out if he wants to survive the season. fortunately, he is better throwing on the move than passing out of the pocket.

 

giving the opposing team a congratulatory salute after they score points against you, maybe even a celebratory dance to go long with it
