Three plays that stuck out to me that were game changers. All three times players were there to clean up / finish a play. 1. 4th and goal, Morris gets stuffed by Soliai and Porter comes in to clean up Morris not allowing him to lean forward to pickup the 1st down. 2. 3rd down just prior to the Pats first punt (I think it was). Welker catches the WR screen Gabril Wilson makes a nice play to get inside of Moss. As Welker is going down V. Davis lays a hit on Welker keeping him from getting the extra couple inches he needed to get the 1st down. 3. In the 4th quarter Welker catches a short pass on a 3rd and 11 N Jones misses the tackle falls to the ground. S Smith also misses the tackle BUT he delays Welker just long enough for Jones to knock Welkers feet out from under him. Those three plays IMO were big plays that went our way due to effort put out by our defensive players.
Nice to see those guys you mention who have been under some heat this year starting to step it up. We are gonna need those guys down the stretch.
A couple of things I noticed: Last series of the game, Pats ball, on the play Wake sacked Brady, Jason Allen was covering Wes Welker, JA played more than people would think he did. On that 4th and 1 run stuff by JP and Soliai, Quentin Moses was in the game for JT, he was in on that series the entire time. YBell is clearly the fastest S in our secondary, he reeled in Welker when he had gotten behind the defense, and Bullfrog was on him quick. Anthony Fasano had one heck of a game as a pass receiver, he and Henne were on the same page and Fasano made several Besslike receptions with a Defender in position but Henne just threw the ball past them and AF made the play.
