Hey Fellas,
I just talked to Gil Brandt and asked him if any of the waived Cowboys would be headed to Miami and he said he just talked to Bill and it was Ironic that I asked that question because Bill Parcells told him that he watching the Cowboys moves and a couple of those players might end up on Miami's squad. I asked him if he could be more specific and he said he would be an ex friend if he said who the players were.
So cool to talk to an NFL great.
Maybe we could speculate on who those guys might be. Maybe Junior Savaii?

Yea but I talked to Gil right after they read the list of the cowboys cuts on the radio. So Gil aready new who was cut and who parcells had is eye on when he aswered my question. So I wouldn't be suprised to see atleast two of those on are team. If anyone has the list of the cowboys cuts it would be cool to try and guess the two

Cool story. I sort of have a cool one myself. I was working the Ohio vs. USA high school football event in Cincinnati; held at the Bengals stadium, and saw Rudi Johnson being escorted out of the facility after he was cut today - let's just say he wasn't a happy camper despite admitting he thought it might be coming in prior local interviews earlier in the week.

Heard your call yesterday. I'm surprised he gave you as much as he did by saying Parcells was looking at some Cowboys that might be cut. Seems to me that's almost as bad as giving a specific name, but congrats on getting some good info out of him!

I cant think of anyone on that list that Parcells would be interested in .Maybe he was talking about a couple of players he hoped would be released or perhaps he thinks there may be a couple of more releases after the Cowboys pick up a couple of players.

I agree. And that is still a possibility. With the addition of Montrae Holland, the Cowboys are carrying 11 linemen. In addition, they only have two healthy WRs (they kept five).
Dallas beat writers expect a lineman to be cut once they get a look at Holland. That said, one expects Dallas to bring in a young, speedy WR. That could possibly be Anthony Armstrong should he be let go. -
I would love to get Doug Free, but I don't think he was cut. I would certainly give them Anthony Armstrong for Doug Free.
I think that would solidify our Oline. -
Glad Gil respects Bill's privacy, but exactly what would we lose be everyone knowing who we are claiming?
Maybe something in neotiating any contract with the signee, but I doubt that...
We have 1st spot on the waiver wire... if we want someone, we take them.
Don't see how leaking who we want affects that.
Still, Gil is right to respect Bill's privacy. -

This guy was like Wes Welker at Texas Tech.....I don't know if he will ever have that kind of career but he found ways to get open. I would love to get Crabtree from TT if he comes out next year.
