Sparano was truly at a loss for words as to how impressed he was with Henne this offseason, said words like ''very very very'' impressed, literally, 3 very's, shook his head while talking about it, lol..

Talked about the day he came in to get that playbook, said he was just ''amazed'' in meetings last nite at the information he has retained from it ..Also talked about how it was a ''great',' ''really great thing'', that Henne had to lead his men by himself this offseason in those player workout things''..

I've been saying it alot all offseason..How important those workouts were..Coach seems to agree..Ross also commented on the importance of it..

A lot of folks are talkin sh%$ right now, they have lost perspective imo on how talented, and physical this young team has become in 3 short years..not me, no, I watched us dominate the LOS on both sides of the ball against these better teams..I watched the best QB in the game right now, literally look lost and confused on his own turf because of how much pressure our bad *** defense was applying to him..

YO..CHAD HENNE!!..You got the best freakin arm in the game, a few of us know how good you played even with all kinds of shi$$y variables you had surrounding you, you folded at the end because of the weaknesses, we get it, now get over it, and lead your men damn it, no more BS, no more holdovers holding you back, its your team, do something about it.

We got a real tough schedule, and the more I look at it, the tougher it gets, hell, we gotta play those damn eagles lol, but you know what?, for the first time in my life as a dolphin fan, I truly believe you CANNOT out physical us in a game..So for that, 3 years after being a laughing stock in the NFL, I just want to say thank you Irish for giving me that feeling, thank you for addressing every damn weakness I personally thought we had going into the offseason..

    Lack of speed on offense...check..

    Inside linebacker...check.

    rebuilt running back unit..check..

    Better interior line play...check.

    Explosive returner...check..

    Fire Dan Henning..check..

Continued evolution of the formation that everyone hates except me..check.

    Resigning MCD...check..

Now, Irish, lets go get us Braylon Edwards and lets make our Boy Mandich smile..lol.

I'm surprised so many Dolfans like the idea of bringing in Edwards. Last time he was available it wasn't a popular notion. He won me over a bit with his play against us. Dude makes plays. He just has to have the right kind of ontract in terms of pay and behavior.

He makes plays when the spotlight is on him, such as MNF games. However, the other games, the guy drops ridiculous passes whilst catching the ones that he shouldn't. Hes a playmaker though. Seems like he comes up big when needed.

Pass on Braylon. That's all well and good for Henne, but it only starts counting on MNF against the Pats. I'll stay tuned.

him not being on the jets at this point is more important to me than him being on this team.

That Omar Kelly interview with Michael Irvin has me scared as **** about Henne... To summarize, the players don't respect Henne's talent or leadership. They actually think it's a joke when he tries to step up. Irvin even commented about having lunch with Marino for the first time and left feeling like he was his QB. Something no one feels about Henne.

We'll see how it all turns out, but in the end, I think Henne and the QB position holds us back again.

I was with you DJ, right up until Edwards request.

As much as I liked the Mad Dog, I'm digging the youth/speed influx that's going on and Edwards doesn't fit either.

I'd want Braylon. I don't like his actions, but we should gamble. It takes him away from the Jets, and even though he drops passes, he can also catch some bad ones, which we know Henne has thrown his fair share of.

Almost had me. I was getting fired up until I read this paragraph. Best arm in the game? lol...

I just don't recall the great, make that even the good ones, folding at the end. That is when they step up their game.

Watching that press conference, it seemed clear to me that Sparano wants Orton.

He said everyone knows that he wanted competition at the position, and kept referring to Chad being the quarterback "right now" (can't remember the exact phrase). You very much got the sense that the Orton ship hadn't sailed with him and I've thought as much since the 'dead' news came out.

The guy he really sounded impressed with was Brandon Marshall.

Running Back group is not rebuilt, not yet, Cobbs role is larger then we may have thought it was, we need someone to step into the gap as there is a fair amount of plays that have to be made by someone.

Sparano of course is going to hype Chad Henne, what do you expect him to say?

    Irvin loved Vince Young's game

    Neither are exactly impartial observers.

The most telling statement from today has been from Los Dansby: "you can tell a lot about a Qb from their body language"

Haven't watched the PC, but that sounds like a man who knows what's going to happen about 6 months from now, and doesn't like the way it looks. In some sick way, despite want the Dolphins to win, I think it's almost poetic justice that Sparano has Henne and Matt Moore in his dangling by a thread season. We've been through 3 coordinators in 3 years, and this year the buck stops at him and he knows it. On the flip side, it did sound like Ireland was ready to pony up yet another 2nd round for Orton; I'd have been pretty disheartened by that. I think the true QB comes in 2012 unless Chad Henne improves drastically. Sparano's teams have choked down the stretch; choked at home; and have choked in big games. Thats' batting with an 0-2 count and two outs if you ask me.

you know Taz, I really didn't mean it to be specific about Edwards, but he is the only dominating physical presense on offense I could think of that would make me feel good about competing with the patriots offseason.

Have to laugh at Cam Wake doing his presser with no shirt on...

Well, I like the Burnett and Bush additions, and really like the Trusnik addition as he instantly upgrades ST, but Qb and Rb and maybe an Vet Olinemen would certainly help alee some concerns.

If Henne is the guy, of course I'll cheer for him, but chuck, there just ain't no love connection....

He sure did Muck, he just kind of looked down, looked up, smirked, and said that he thinks Brandon is focused on his team....and that hes in shape, and he said it like the guy is a freakazoid robot.

I agree with you on how he kept saying henne is the QB ''now'', but that also could be just to keep Henne on his toes, there was no denying to me at least that he was impressed with Henne when the met up yesterday..

Hell, I'll part with a third for Orton, I got no problems with that..

This is only our second coordinator bro. We had the same one for three years. ;)

Denver officials told NFLN Miami never actually made an 'official' offer. Everything else I read said Miami was offering a 4th.

We've come to expect some disappointments in trades. But I would be absolutely shocked if it were a #2.

We've gotten rid of Pasqualoni, Henning, and Bonamego. That's 1 per unit in 3 years - I should've been more specific there. We also fired our original OL coach, Mike Maser, after the 2008 season. We changed out a host of others after this past season. I mean, c'mon, how many more does Sparano get to go through before he's the one axed?

some insider espn stuff we saw in the club, but thats about it..

I still think there are a few players that are gonna get cut so we can still play some..

I think we've added with our free agents and Rooks about 16 to 18 mill, but I'am terrible with numbers..

me too coach, when he was on the sideline being punished last year, I was kinda sweatin him..weird, he really is so graceful in his athleticism for a big dude, and he's fast...

To me the Edwards thing is just a metaphor for 1 more splash..I just feel like there's room for 1 more good one...I also like that dynamic of being reunited with Henne.

Dj, I think there's room for one more splash as well. But it should probably come on the O-line with a LG (Jacob Bell perhaps) or at FS (Dashon Goldson perhaps). Not really sure there's even a need for Braylon Edwards to be honest.

Yes, he was. But I remember the 3 losses at home to close out the season agains Buffalo, Cleveland, and Detroit too. He wasn't excellent in those games. It works both ways. And I'd also point out, all of those teams had losing records, like the Dolphins. Let's keep some perspective.

There are 3 solid guards roaming around looking for work Waters/Davis/Bell, and more to follow, would love to see that RG position on lockdown at least for this season.

FWIW, I did not read Sparano the same way when he was speaking about Henne, did notice Sparano did not exactly endorse him though.

Rich Seubert from the Giants in that mix now too. DeGuglielmo should have some insight on him. I'd prefer any of the three of Bell, Seubert, and Waters (probably in the order) at LG so Richie Incognito can move to RG to compete with Jerry. I think we need more athleticism than ole Richie provides.
