If we end up with 9-7 or better this year after last year's 10-6, after the ridiculous number of key injuries last year and losing Tannehill this year, there won't be a good argument against Gase as a coach. I say this because some express serious doubt about Gase, which is fine atm, but we're fast approaching a possible outcome where I think it no longer is. All this is contingent of course on finishing this season strong.. hasn't yet happened so we'll see.
we need better linemen anyway. James was not worth $9M next year we need to keep drafting and turning over the line
I disagree. he is the one lineman who is playing well enough to resign. You do not make the line stronger by making it weaker.
after the loss to the raiders, we have to beat the pats twice or bills twice to go 9-7... not happening. Losing James hurts more than losing ajayi.
If we finish 9-7 I will never call Gase a POS coach again. However, there is no way in hell this team breaks .500 this year. Even Fitzy with the Bucs could give us hell.
but he lost his starting qb in preseason, and is coming off a 10 and 6 record and first year playoff performance..why call him a POS coach in the first place?..not sure he really deserves that
Have you seen his play calling ability? 3rd and 11, Cutler hot and hasn’t thrown an incompletion....Gase calls a draw. That is just one of the many examples.
Yeah, I think it's fair to criticize Gase for that. It is a 'give up' kind of call, the safe way to gain a couple yards to add to the punt you are already planning. PLUS, you have no real chance to draw a flag for illegal contact or PI which can bail out a team on third and long. On the plus side, there were a lot of quick dump passes for easy yards and I like that. Gase needs to keep adjusting the offense, and taking a couple deep shots early would be a good way to open up room underneath. As for the OL? I thought we could withstand NO MORE THAN ONE injury before the OL would be a mess.
There have been some questionable calls... but last week I didn’t see any questionable calls when he wasn’t so one dimensional, do you think Ajayi one dimensional game strapped him?
Who cares? I mean who cares? Do we need an offensive line? Has to be an alternative because we suck sweaty bison testicles at the fixing the O-line issue. It's like the Patriots have a guy at MIA and when players and coaches come in to work for us that are able to fix the O line, they have some Haitian Voodoo taxi driver that sucks the knowledge out of their heads. Maybe there is something in the stone crab at Joes or something...
