Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Kassim Osgood was attacked while watching television on Monday night with a 19-year old woman in a Jacksonville home, Dan Scanlan of the Florida Times-Union reports.
According to the report, an armed man entered the second-floor game room, pistol-whipped Osgood and the woman, held the gun to the woman's head and quoted a threatening text message that University of Florida football player Chris Rainey said to his girlfriend.
The woman managed to flee, jumping to a floor below. When the attacker chased after her, Osgood jumped out a second-story window and fled to a neighbor's home to contact the authorities.
Before police arrived, the woman and attacker, identified as 20-year old Julian Armond Bartletto, exchanged gunfire. Both missed and Bartletto fled the scene.
Police arrested Bartletto at his residence, and he faces charges of aggravated battery, false imprisonment, armed robbery, burglary and violation of an injunction.
