We're running a pretty elaborate 16 team keeper league with custom scoring and IDP. I'm going to draft at #11.
First of all, here's my keepers:
- Philip Rivers
- Frank Gore
- Reggie Wayne
- DeSean Jackson
Some important scoring notes:
- TDs are 4pt
- 0.5 PPR
- 1pt for 15 receiving yards
- 1pt for 25 kick return yards
- 1pt for 15 punt return yards
And here's the top 15-20 players available:
(in no particular order)
Ryan Matthews (x)
Matt Forte (x)
C.J. Spiller (x)
Greg Jennings (x)
Ronnie Brown
Jahvid Best (x)
Michael Crabtree (x)
Cadillac Williams
Hines Ward
Mike Sims-Walker
Hakeem Nicks
Ahmad Bradshaw
Darren Sproles (insane points last season due to PPR and returns)
Fred Jackson (same)
Brandon Jacobs
Ricky Williams
x = player I'm sure will be drafted ahead of me
And finally the all important question:
Whom would you target and why?
-
Nicks much more than anyone else you think would be there.
Nicks is young and just about to take off so that's great for a keeper. Esp in ppr.
Ronnie Brown would be the only other one out of that group. He def isn't as exciting but he should put up solid numbers while he's healthy. -
Mike Sims-Walker or Bradshaw.
Sims-Walker is so underrated. -
Didn't Nicks break his ankle last year? I know he was doing great but didn't he suffer a season ending injury?
-
I owned both MSW and Bradshaw last year and they drove me crazy. MSW esp when he'd practice all week and then be a scratch on Sun morning.
Don't get me wrong, Nicks has to stay healthy also. But, I think his ceiling is a lot higher.
