I'll be keeping 3 players. Its a PPR league. My top 3 draft picks (Frank Gore, Greg Jennings, Kurt Warner) are not eligible to be kept. My previous 2 keepers will be retained (Andre Johnson, Ronnie Brown). I need help deciding on my 3rd keeper.

    Keeper#1 - Andre Johnson
    Keeper#2 - Ronnie Brown
    Keeper#3 - ?

    Roster
    RED - Cant keep
    GREEN - Keeper

    QB
    Kurt Warner
    Eli Manning

    WR
    Andre Johnson
    Greg Jennings
    Robert Meachum
    Steve Breaston
    Davone Bess

    RB
    Frank Gore
    Ronnie Brown
    Laurence Maroney
    LeSean Mccoy
    Beanie Wells

    TE
    Heath Miller
    Jeremy Shockey

    K
    Nate Kaeding

    DEF
    Arizona
    Tennessee
    San Francisco

    D
    James Harrison
    Brian Cushing

I've got it narrowed down to Manning, Meachum, McCoy, and Wells. I think I can eliminate Meachum because he hit his ceiling this season, and I'd like to get more consistency out of a starting fantasy WR. Eli could have a better season next year since they have established their receiving corp. Smith, Nicks, Manningham, and Boss are great targets. I could see Eli having his best fantasy season in 2010. McCoy could certainely be a #2 RB in this 10 team league, but has been finding the bench recentely. I'm not sure how much of the load he can handle in that offense. Leonard Weaver is a ********. I could see McCoy getting 60+ receptions as a fulltime starter though. Then there is Beanie Wells. He has 700 yards and 6 TDs in a very limited role this season. If Kurt Warner retires, and Boldin is traded, the Cardinals could shift to a more balanced team. Wells will be a stud in that scenario.

I'm very torn on this decision. Some help?

    Beanie or McCoy IMO.

Beanie will be the back in Zona next season. With McCoy it depends on Westbrook IMO.

I'll have a top 3 draft pick also. Which means I can get either Chris Johnson, Maurice Jones Drew, or any QB available.

I could keep Andre, Ronnie, and Beanie, then draft Brees, best WR available, best TE available.

My team would look something like this...

    Drew Brees
    Andre Johnson
    Vincent Jackson
    -WR3-
    Ronnie Brown
    Beanie Wells
    Dallas Clark

That leaves a lot to be desired at RB if Wells isnt consistent.

Maybe something like this...if I keep Eli.

    Eli Manning
    Andre Johnson
    Vincent Jackson
    -WR3-
    Ronnie Brown
    Chris Johnson
    Dallas Clark

There's about a 75 point difference between Eli and Brees this year. I can make that up by upgrading to Chris Johnson at RB.

If you have top 3 pick, I would drop Ronnie back into the pool, and keep Eli, Andre and Beanie or Meachum.

I too like Eli's weapons and I think Meachum and Brees will only get better next year.

If you can then draft Brees, BEST RB or WR, BEST TE, etc

the problem is there arent many good RBs left after the keepers. Johnson, MJD, Gore, Jackson, and maybe Turner are the only good ones available. I wont be able to win with Beanie/whoever is left after 20 picks.

EDIT: wait, why would i draft brees if i keep Eli?

If Ronnie plays a whole season no but given his injury history I wouldn't spend a keeper on him.

none of ronnies injuries are related or recurring. i have to keep the players that give me the best lineup. having Ronnie as my #2 is a risk I have to take. there arent a lot of other options for me in this league. This league is tough as hell. One guy has Drew Brees, Adrian Peterson, Michael Turner, Ray Rice, Vincent Jackson, Roddy White, Calvin Johnson, Vernon Davis, Percy Harvin. He finished 8-6 and lost his first playoff game. I think I have to keep Ronnie to have a chance.

Im starting to like this plan...

    QB - Eli manning (Keeper)
    WR - Andre Johnson (Keeper)
WR - DeSean Jackson (early round 3)
WR - Best available (late round 4)
    RB - Maurice Jones-Drew (early round 1)
    RB - Ronnie Brown (Keeper)
TE - Dallas Clark (late round 2)

i could have weeks where everyone on my team scores multiple TDs. Round 5 I take Brett favre as insurance, lol.

    Beanie or McCoy

I'm in a similar situation where I have:

    Rice
    Fitzgerald
    ?

I have to decide between Shaub, Vernon Davis, and Pierre Thomas. PPR, all TDs 6.

Thought it was a 2 QB league...you have Warner and Eli now....Brees and Eli wouldnt be much different.

I still think dropping Ronnie back into the mix wouldnt kill you...but if you feel RB is the least draftable you could convince me to keep Eli, and Ronnie, and grab MJD over Brees and pull a late QB out of the mix....heck, depending on offseason Henne could be a point machine next year.

    That was my initial thinking.

The thing is, there are sooo many good TE's out there now that I don't know if it'd be worth it to keep him. 12 team league btw.

Unless things shake-up in NO with PT, it'll really just be Shaub vs VD.

I can buy that....those little items (quality of position avail) really do change from league to league. If TE is deep...then Shaub tips the scale as keeper.

I hate keeping QBs, but if they can get Shaub more weapons and a decent ****ing OL, he should be top 5 again next year.
