Nice to read that Pennington is still as accurate as advertised.

But for all of the Chad talk, this is more important:

Ronnie had been saying that he was 95%+, I'm not so sure, Ronnie is going to need more time to heal and rehab properly, we are three weeks out from the Season Opener.

Good point Padre. He may be at "95%" throughout the year - which is probably in all reality closer to 80% or 85%. This may be something that lingers with him throughout the season, particularly if he's already feeling the bumps and bruises from 3 carries in preseason.

    Unfortunately.

Ronnie will recover, but we probably should not expect the 07 Ronnie this year.

That leaves us with Cobbs and Parmalee...that is not comfortable...

Do people really expect recovery times from ACL injuries to span just a few months? The Culpepper experience should be fresh in the minds of everyone so this should be a non-issue. I just hope RB does not re-injure himself. Use up Williams, that is what he is here for.

We've got Ricky too ... he's "looked good" according to all reports.

Personally, I think we'd be better off letting Ricky serve as the primary back for the first part of the season. I'd like to see Ronnie get 8-10 carries a game, Ricky around 12-15, and Parmalee picking up about 5-7 a game. If Ronnie shows he can handle the larger workload, we should increase it, but if he doesn't we should be sure to have a Plan B.

I think Ricky will be the primary back early in the year and perhaps even late in the year. I just got a feeling on this one guys, been saying it since it was announced Bill wanted him back, RICKY IS GOING TO HAVE A BIG BIG YEAR. Of course I always the optimist so thats how I roll. (so will Ricky all year long!)

The biggest news I saw QB wise was that there was no mention of McCown so I'm assuming he was working with the first team since Henne was exclusive with the 2nd team but that's my guess. What I then take from that is that it seems the Fins are leaning towards keeping Beck and making him the second QB.

Also I love that Pennington is impressing but really he is only doing what is expected IMO. As for Ronnie I hope he improves especially since he is in my fantasy league. Plus Ricky looked great in the preseason game sort of like the 1853 yards season Ricky that we had 5 years ago.

I'm liking the news about Davone Bess as well.

Dont worry bro he will improve he is just getting back from a ACL tear rember. It is remarkable that he is able to be a preseason game slready.

I agree it is a better comparison but it is not totally accurate as Carson Palmer doesn't have to make the cuts and be as mobile as Ronnie. I know you weren't making a mirror comparison but I just thought I would point that out.

Everyone, every knee, and every injury is different. Whe I dislocated my left knee on a gruesome double team chop block (the kind where the cleats stay in the ground and the knee subluxes), I was back at full strength, with no discomfort, no weakness, and with full cutting ability within 8 months, and I actually went on to have best season of my career. But, when I dislocated my right knee from a freak chance blow by a blocker's helmet, it never, and I mean never, came back to full strength, regardless of the amount of rehab. So, gruesome dislocation = 8 months. Glancing blow = messed up for 20 years and counting. Go figure.

2 Int's is considered practice champion? You've had better QB play up there recently, but damn standards must be low.

I would say Deuce McAllister even though his injury wasn't exactly the same. The difference between RB's injuries in the past is that their ACL's were completely torn. Brown partially tore his ACL.

Thats a rarity for Chadwick. He'll come back with seven straight days of turnover free ball and all of Miami will be dancing "Living La Vida Loca". Only to come out opening day and suffer a strained vagina. Watch.

I think I would give the majority of the carries for the first half of the season to Ricky. I think Ricky has plenty of mileage left on his legs with all the time he has missed. Most experts say it takes about two years to get over an ACL, and a lot of it is becoming confident in yourself. I just hope RB fully recovers...I still get sick watching how he got hurt trying to make a tackle last year, on a pretty meaningless play.

agreed that ronnie shouldnt be used like a healthy rb. he played nothing short of awesome last year before the injury, and it would be a shame if we didnt let him get fully recovered so he can fulfill his potential.

I concur. There was talk that we could end up running the ball close to 40 times a game. If that was to hold true and if I was to have a plan on who gets how many carries, it would probably have Ricky around 15-17 carries a game, Ronnie at 12-14 and Parmele at 7 or 8. That total would be between 34 and 39 a game.

    Talk about a run-on sentence.

well the ACL being the side ligiment.....its crucial for a quaterback....think of the QBs drop back.....and then pushing of the side of his foot for every single throw.....and every drop back, squatting to get under center, the qb puts alot of strain on his knees, more than people think about....cause its considered a "soft" position
