The site isn't a scam. You get points for using their search engine which basically you get enough points you can cash out.

You get 1 point per search. 1-3 per comment, 25% of who you refer. No it doesn't interfere what you do.

Since I'm bored and wide awake, I decided to calculate how much points I could possibly earn.
I used the highest point total possible per post, which is 3, and multiplied it by my post count. The total points I got was 46,289. Also, I would be subject to receiving seven $25 VISA gift cards which would equal out to $125 in gift cards.
I would love this site........if I could carry my post count. Since I can't, I will not go to it! I demand a transfer of post count!!!
