He had Curtis Lofton going in the second to NYG? If he is there at 32 (33-whatever) what would you all do? We are in NEED of ILB and he's about the best one out there this year.
Yeah I saw that as well, if hes there at 2b I would not be happy to pass him up. I dont mind Henne, but I think aside from Ryan/Brohm these are third round QBs getting boosted by a weak weak class into late late first early second round territory. Really hope we dont pick one of them at 2a.
Curtis Loton is the guy I want with the 32nd pick. He just hammers people. We can get a WR and a QB later on.
If he can return punts and kickoffs yeah. It will be hard with Brown, Williams, Booker and Cobb. Perhaps they can surpass Cobb.
I have a feeling we are going with a wideout in the second round. I will unveil my mock later this weekend and tell you my thinking. Thanks FFIC.
If theres a chance Long will struggle on the left side why in the world would we use the #1 pick for this guy???I'm sure there are other tackles to be had with the first pick of round 2
I suppose they may have some condifidence that he can play the Left Side. Moreover, if he can't, I think everyone agrees he could be a dominate RT and we could keep Carey at LT.
There is a chance any player can fail. But anyone who still thinks Long is primarily destined for the right side of the line is just deluding themselves. Hes a LT. And there are questions about every player at the top. Can Chris play in the 3-4 as well as the 4-3? Is Dorseys size (or lack thereof) a problem? Is Gholston anything other than a passrusher with a questionable motor? Is Ryan more than a turnover machine? Is Jake a LT or RT? You can always find something bad if you look hard enough.
One thing that stood out to me was Stewart falling to SD. I know they lost Burner Turner but I dont think they take a RB with first round pick. Also, I think Stewart will end up with Houston or Arizona. JMO.
