This is too close for me to call. It's Apples and oranges, which do you prefer?

Moreno would be a better story. He might injure our linemen with his running style though.

Foster is yeesh! But a more graceful and controlled running style.

    Get off my lawn.
Foster in a committee with Ajayi... And also use Microtron or whatever the f you people want to call him as a Sproles type back outside of the tackles. Keep everybody fresh and the defense on their toes.

That is hilarious. On the field, he may look more like a nanotron or picotron.

I would go Foster over Moreno. Seems like Moreno is glass, and Foster is just plexxiglass.....

Yeah, let's bring in Foster, recovering from a ruptured Achilles... It's bad enough we gave Wake an extension, why not throw away more money on one legged players? Neither one of those two RB's are feasible backups at this stage.

Call me Crazy Ole Tirty, but I think we should just roll with Ajayi and Drake. I personally think that Moreno is done and will never play another down. From what I hear, I think he kinda knows the end is near, but he is keeping himself in shape because "you never know". I think that if we did wind up signing Foster, we would have to start him and play him a lot to justify what his salary would be, and I think this would stunt the development of our younger guys.

There would be two exceptions to my thought process:

#1 - Gase is looking at Ajayi and Drake and thinks that neither is ready to start/handle significant playing time. This scenario would be completely fine with me. If they aren't ready, they aren't ready. The NFL is quite unforgiving to people who cannot admit their mistakes.

#2 - Drake or Ajayi gets hurt. If this is the case, I would hop on the phone ASAP. Even if we had to overpay, it would probably be prudent. Running backs can be a here today gone tomorrow commodity.

I'd be okay with Ajayi and Drake as our #1 and #2. let's suffer through some growing pains this season, we're not going to the Super Bowl. But if they can gain some valuable experience, it would be great to have young RB legs going into December. However, I would like a vet as our #3. I'd be okay with Foster as our #3 (or 2b) if he's doing okay. I absolutely do NOT want either Foster or Moreno as one of our top 2 RBs, we can't rely on them

Moreno. I'm not sure Foster has much if anything left. Both are injury prone it would seem so not much difference there.

Jeez, Cam Wake doesn't deserve this kind of disrespect, CK.

And you know if anyone can prove you wrong, it's Cam.

You could sign Foster and still keep him on the bench..only use if the two youngsters are not working out..

last time I saw foster play he looked slow..not sure if that was injury but he looked like he was approaching steven jackson territory..still hanging on to collect that check..

And if Ajayi suffers an injury ... Drake is your #1? I don't think so. Lots of good RBs will be cut soon.

Yeah, i'd just wait it out at this point, there will most likely be a better option available, but I do think we need to get someone else.

We need to sign another RB, if these are the only two choices it would be Foster, Knowshon has been done for a long time. There are always options out there for a veteran RB pickup.

Saints can sign Hightower after he hasn't played in four years and he comes in and is effective right away.

If we can't find someone serviceable there is something seriously wrong

Moreno. Guy had our whole team playing with passion and fire that I hadn't seen in YEARS. I want a guy whose play influences other guys. I've always liked Foster, don't hold anything against him, but he's always come across as a me-first type. I wish Moreno could've stayed healthy with us.

Passionately and phonetically, he's the closest thing to Marino we've seen on offense for a while...I'm in.
