I wonder if this means Zach Brown is in play?

It may mean the opposite but I don't know that for sure. Anyways, we need two youngsters (maybe one this year and on the next) to start grooming behind Misi and Timmons.

With that $2mil, and when Dion is cut, that should be upwards of a $5mil savings.

I hope they're making room to pay Landry and get Brown.

Good move, we still need another starting linebacker though. Hopefully we can get Zbrown or draft one.

Dion Jordan is next on the list. What is his guaranteed salary? And what is the deal with Byron Maxwell? Love to shed some salary or all

I doubt he'll be around much longer. I've read that he's lost a step already and without even playing.

Nice deal for us. I like it. I don't think Koa Misi is a bad player. I don't think he's great either. He's around average. He's always really been on his own in our LB unit too though. It's not like we've surrounded him with alot of quality players. He's part of a unit now with Timmons and Alonso. If we can use all 3 together, with Lacy (Assuming he pans out), and maybe even a pick in the mix, maybe playing with some competent players that fit the system can help improve his play too.

Of course that's all assuming Koa Misi stays healthy, and that's the biggest issue IMO, and that's what makes him a bad player in my eyes. The ability that hurts him the most, is his availability. Sure, there's also some wishful thinking on my part there, but he was off to a decent start this past season before getting hurt.
