john clayton reports.
I was worried, its why I thought we should of made a move at the deadline..
lets hope the our boy can play.and not be hesitant in his style cause of the injury..
daniel thomas and Wiliams will get their reps.
time to get lamike james up to speed.

Not the guy we need missing Sunday, I'm still not a DT fan and Williams is an unknown. UGH hold your breath guys.

I actually feel very confident in Damien Wiliams. Donald Thomas not so much.

FWIW, he's participated in a limited capacity in practice all week.
I agree with DJ that his speed is a nice weapon, and I think quick-hitting runs are one way you can attack Detroit's D with Fairley out. Deandre Levy can absolutely fly around the field, so having Miller's speed would be good this week.
It stinks that the Bills game is on a short week AFTER playing Detroit. -
Armando tweeted this out today: http://miamiherald.typepad.com/dolphins_in_depth/2014/11/injury-report-miami-dolphins-at-lions.html
For Sunday:
Dion Sims is out.
Daryn Colledge is doubtful.
Lamar is listed as questionable, though Armando says the Dolphins believe he'll play.
Misi (ankle), Earl Mitchell (abdomen), Kelvin Sheppard (hip/groin), and Jimmy Wilson (hamstring) are all listed as questionable; though I've not seen anything that'd indicate they won't play.
For Detroit, Fairley is out, obviously, and Eric Ebron is listed as doubtful. Sounds like everyone else on Detroit's injury list should be ready. -
With Buffalo coming up on a Thursday, I would rather he sit or play sparingly. I want the healthiest team possible against a division opp.
Sims out means more Charles Clay. Sounds good to me... -
Mitchell is kind of a surprise to me .We need Misi too.
-
Imo this would be a smart move to sit miller. We're not going to run well against the Lions regardless of whose playing hb. Our rbs this week will be rreceiving more than running this week, something that Thomas and Williams are better at anyway.

Yeah I think we need to beat the Lions with defense and pass anyway. I'd rather Miller be ready to go Thursday. Just hope if he plays he doesn't get banged up more, like when Moreno came back.
-
I know he's legit hurt, but I have to think he'll be in the game. Our coaches/FO are among the most secretive in the league. They have a reason to put him as questionable, so he's questionable - no matter how likely he is to play. Gamesmanship.

daniel thomas has no redeeming qualities

Take the needle Lamar. This is the NFL son. :shifty:
I kid a bit.
Good thing Daniel Thomas was still around after the Moreno debacle folks.
I have faith in DT. It would be unfair to say Daniel hasn't stepped up at times.
Even though I'm definitely Miller's biggest critic by far on this site he has been impressive.
I would love to see him on the football field.cuchulainn likes this. -
I bet Miller plays, but they probably limit his snaps a bit to save him for Thursday.
-
Should be decent at picking up the blitz though. -
-
Even if Miller were 100% healthy, the Dolphins would have a tough time gaining yardage against the Lions on the ground.
This is going to be a game in which the defense is going to have to hold the Lions to 21 points or less and Tannehill is going to have to win the game by passing the ball.
The Lions DL is similar to the Bills, even without Fairley. So the OL is going to have their hands full all day keeping Tannehill upright in the pocket. Hopefully Lazor has a lot of roll outs in the game plan, because Tannehill is going to need movement in the pocket to find success tomorrow. -
I would rather see James on the active roster than Thomas.
When the best thing which can be said about a RB in the NFL is that he is "DECENT" at blitz pickup, it certainly makes you wonder why he is still in the NFL. -

The fact the Dolphins didn't make a roster move before Saturday's 4 p.m. deadline hints starting tailback Lamar Miller, who was listed as questionable because of a left shoulder injury he suffered in last week's win over the Chargers, will play against the Lions.

Lamar is a go!!! Per fansided.
Let's go Phins !!!!
