So we are getting blown out and get the ball back in the last minute. We decide to run. Even before the snap Landry and Stills are yelling at sideline. After run they yell and wave their hands some more and then Miami decides to pass. If this happened under Philbin we would say it's a lack of having control of team. Landry does everything the right way so I was surprised he wanted stats in garbage time

I could be completely off on this, but while I love Landry as a player, I get the feeling that he is somewhat of a diva who really likes to be under the spotlight. I keep coming back to that one game (Redskins I think) where there was a video pre-game that he was yelling and trying to fire everybody up, but nobody responded.
Then I saw this video before the game yesterday where he was giving some speech to other players and they clearly were not as engaged as he was... he was facing the camera, as if it was all set up before hand. I get the feeling that some players get annoyed by this and that he is not seen as much of a leader inside the locker room as all of us want to believe.BigNastyDB13, DolphinGreg and dolphin25 like this. -

It's a conspiracy!

Actually, I have the same concerns about Landry. His play tends to back up his actions, or at least, justify them. But he does throw a LOT of tantrums.
Last night I wanted to tell both he and Stills to shut up. Tannehill was getting murdered back there and it was a blow out with less than a minute left. Dropping back to pass was asking for The Patriots to bring the house.
And this isn't the first, or even second time, that Landry has pitched a visible fit on the field.
Chalk it up to being passionate, I guess.DolphinGreg likes this. -

Surprised the Dolphins don't want to pad Landry's stats. I could see them trading him for a 3rd round pick Ireland style.
-
Could it be that Landry and Stills recognized that Tannehill was getting killed and they wanted some quick passes to take some pressure off of their quarterback? Aside from that I saw a lot of confusion along that offensive line last night. No excuses for Tannehill, because he wasn't playing great last night.

The offense across the board wasn't playing well last night.

As usual all the bad stuff gets talked after a loss. I expect it'll be different after we beat Buffalo next week.

He looked like he didn't give a crap whether they lost the game or not. I can watch players getting upset at a bad play but laughing about a safety... That was his fault? Difference between a championship team and a JV team...

it's amazing how perceptions get altered after a difficult loss.

The crap statement was how long did it take you to run to the computer this morning to bad mouth everything Dolphin you could come up with... Funny how the people who replied knew exactly who I might've been talking about. I don't expect all positive outlooks considering the last decade... I just don't expect every post, win or lose , to be gloom and doom and patting yourself on the back saying.. I told you we stink!

- Wake's age/health
- Parker not being ready with the fit (especially after the screw had to be replaced)
- Stills benefiting from the Saints offense
- Rushing Albert back
- Depth (especially in the secondary)
There was also a rosy "simma down" to every single concern. So many were instantaneously buying the hype because we handed out to big contracts to Suh and Tanny.
I hate talking about all of this. It's like a broken record almost every single year for the last decade plus. It all starts at the top. Always will.Finster likes this. -

The problem is you're typcasting people. I was here the last two weeks giving praise for the way they responded to Campbell (whom I like as an individual). But the moment I said "stay level-headed" the hate come a-floweth. -
