#Ravens ILB Arthur Brown has been the subject of trade discussions with other teams, according to league sources.
We need LBs. He has slid down their depth chart but he's talented. I would give up maybe a 3rd or 4th. What say you?

We've certainly had great success w/ Raven LB's before. :shifty:
Not aimed at you Humidity, just had to say it.Rocky Raccoon and Clark Kent like this. -
There has been confirmation Miami is one of the teams that has shown interest in Brown (Twitter source). I can get name if you need it.

Not a chance, the Ravens rarely give away players in their prime, pass pass pass

I can confirm the #Dolphins are one of a few teams that have inquired about #Ravens LB Arthur Brown.
Seems strange Baltimore has openly got him on the block, he must be a real disappointment as a 2nd rounder.
Can't say I know much about the guy, we'll see if this is genuine interest from Hickey. Or maybe just a reporter taking an educated guess.Itsdahumidity likes this. -
The idea that the Ravens are going to make the correct decision should not be the overriding factor in whether or not to acquire him, but it's a bit troubling that they very badly were looking for a solution to ILB problems and decided to look elsewhere.

Hickey got us Seamster and Ross, all is good. smh.
-
I'd take him for a late round pick. Even if he doesn't start our LB are dropping like flies and we need valid depth.
-
Wouldn't mind us entertaining him at the right price. I remember really liking this kid coming out of college as he flew around the ball. Only thing as mentioned is his size concerns. I doubt he could hold up as a 4-3 MLB, but he could provide us something at OLB. Not like any of our LB's are that impressive but the question can he come in an provide an upgrade?
To Note: Ravens signed Daryl Smith last year and he started over Brown, then they drafted Mosley in 1st round. Either way if the Ravens had that much faith in him they wouldn't have drafted a 1st round LB. Still maybe in a different scheme he could find a home.
Ravens obviously lost a RB this week and are thin on options, Miller/Moreno are untouchable but Williams/Darkwa and a late round pick would be my offer 6th/7th.
Either way I really am hoping the coaches keep brining along McCain, also with this drug policy vote it could mean Jordan is back earlier and I hope we cross train him at LB/DE just like McCain. If we can have versatility and interchangeability on defense I think it can make us Top-5. -
A conditional 7th round pick is about all Brown is worth, IMO. He would have to come in and play a minimum number of plays for the Dolphins to give up this pick. If he failed to play this minimum number of plays, the Ravens would receive nothing from the Dolphins.
Personally I think the Dolphins can probably find a better LB sitting on someones PS. That is the route I hope Hickey takes if he decides to add an additional LB to the roster. -

IF the price is right why not? When players get dumped a few years after they are drafted its obviously not a good sign but if he's better than what we have and has upside I don't see an issue with letting a late round pick go for him.
-
You will not get Brown for a 7th. That is nonsense.
-
24 years old and has talent. We could use help at LB so why not take a chance?
Go for it, Hickster. -
Now they're backtracking:
"Ravens linebacker Arthur Brown and sources say he's not on the trading block"
Sources say teams made inquiries about 2013 second-round linebacker, but predict trade won't be made
I guess the offers weren't close to what they were asking.

There have to be better prospects than Brown sitting on someone's PS at this time and I trust Hickey to find this prospect without having to waste a draft pick on Brown. I just don't think Brown will ever develop into a starting LB or even a decent backup in the NFL.
