League rejects "devin hester rule" on punts...

    Personally i think this is good news. Not because i dislike the bears or hester... but... how can you take something like that out of the game? Its always been a strategic thing inside the 20 yard line. As i type this though i just thought to myself... well... youre penalized for sending a kickoff out of bounds.. but still...

    This rule change wouldn't have made a lot of sense ... the "coffin corner" kick is a primary function of special teams. The league should be giving kudos to Hester and the Bears for terrific special teams play.

    IMO, if a team has to rely this heavily on SP anyways, they arent a very good team.

    If you are that concerned about stopping Hester, don't change the rules, get special teams guys who know how to tackle.

    How about you cant punt out of bounds outside the 20 or you make the other team repunt...
