Amen to that. Hopefully the Giants will play all there starters Saturday Night to beat these guys. Remember, you play to win. Don't be a wuss and take people out because you are afraid to lose someone to injury. And for all the Giants fans selling there tickets to Pats fans, shame on you.

ive heard they will be. They want to go into the playoffs with momentum, not out of sink, the players were saying on video on nfl.com that momentum is more important than rest. and if they wernt chose to start or are taken off, they would contest to the Coughlin.

    Good news, good attitude too.

And we played teams with a combined record of 51-86.

As much as I hate to see it happen, we're gonna see it happen this year boys and girls. Tainted or not, we are watching history unfold before us. Keep our fingers crossed for a big upset along the way.

Well there are 2 teams in the playoffs that can unseat the PATS IMHO. The COLTS and the JAGS. How cool would it be for them to lose in the playoffs!!!

we have had NOTHING go right this season, apart form a emotional fluke win that we should have lost.

The Joy of a Patriot Upset is due. We wernt good enough to do the job ourselves. But If the pats do it. Fair Play to them, We Had 2 chances to stop them. We failed ourselves...........but we still dint cheat.

    Go Giants.

I'm just glad their record means nothing if they lose in the playoffs. Name me a great team you can put in the same sentence as the 72 Dolphins that hasn't won a Superbowl.

As much as I dislike the Pats I also have alot of respect for this team and its players. I dont buy it that the video scandal had anything to do with their dominant play. I will be pulling for the Giants, but if they win (which I believe they will), they deserve my sincere respect, these guys are talented and play in your face football, not showing ones respect is to small for me, if they win let them enjoy it, they deserve it.
Next year the Fins will have their shot again.

The Dolphins also were the first team to have an undefeated season.....all the Patriots can do is become the SECOND team to do it.

It's harder to run the table in the NFL now, IMO. More games plus the league breeds parity. I'm not going to cling on the past because the team is awful. I think alot of people think it's a slap in the face to the '72 Dolphins if the Patriots run the table. Though that's only because guys like Mercury Morris show up and run their mouth. I'm not rooting for the Patriots but if they get it, it's a superior accomplishment to the '72 team.

YES, but it doesn't mean they are a better team. ESPN tries to compare this Patriots team to the 85 Bears, and the 70's Steelers, but they are comparing apples and oranges. Guys are bigger and faster today....doesn't make them better.

I would argue just the opposite. Now with 32 teams the talent pool has diminshed the strength of individual teams. One need only look at how many good teams played in the 70s and compare it to how many good teams each season creates nowadays. Its the same with every sport. The more teams, the less the quality of the product. That's why when a team actually puts together a solid cast they can run the table with such ease whatever the sport

We had two 1000 yard rushers, another 500 yard rusher. The #1 total offense, #1 scoring offense, #1 total defense, and #1 scoring defense. We beat the Pats 52-0. And we came extremely close to ending the perfect season with a shutout in the Super Bowl.

What have they done? They cheated. They will have the #1 scoring offense (this year, and of alltime). They will have the most passing touchdowns of alltime. They will have a WR set the record for most TDs in a season alltime. They are the first 15-0 regular season team. They will be the first 16-0 regular season team. And they will be going into the playoffs knowing they already faced and beat the other 3 division winners. But most importantly, they cheated.

I think Pittsburgh, Jacksonville, Tennessee, and Cleveland all have no shot at beating the Pats. I pray that the Steelers end up with the 3rd seed. If Pittsburgh can beat Cleveland/Tennessee, and San Diego can beat Jacksonville again; then the Pats will have to face both San Diego and Indy on the way to the Super Bowl. That will be their toughest route.

Buffalo Bills... The only team in NFL History to go to 4 consecutive Superbowls... BTW, the Dolphins are 2nd with 3 consecutive Superbowl appearances and they won the last 2 in that run...

No other NFL team ahs been to more than 2 SBs in a row...

both teams played in different era's so it hards to compare.

i think jacksonville has a very good chance at beating the Pats. they are built for harsh winter conditions and have a 2 headed monster running game. plus, garrad is playing awesome this yr.

yup i'm hoping they have to go through indy and jacksonville....i really think indy can do it. we were first able to see how to break down their defense in that baltimore game...so maybe if indy studies their tapes enough they can do it. i think they have a roster good enough to do it for sure. just keeping my fingers crossed. if they hadn't cheated this year, i don't think i would be so flustered at the thought of them winning it all, but it's just not moral. like barry bonds breaking the all-time HR record on steroids....it's just not right. it shouldn't be fair, it should be asterisked, and it should be tainted.

Not really. Better sports through chemistry has been a part of our culture since the 50s when amphetamines were the drug of choice. Now we live in the age of steroids. Actually that was the 80s and 90s. This century its HGH. It is what it is

I agree 100% on all your points. Cheating is cheating, no matter how you try to justifiy it! And imo, steroids is cheating also.

You should look again, Jax is on fire. They have the type of team that could definitely beat the Patriots. They are tough, they can run the ball, and they have a very good QB. NEs 40 year old linebackers would have fits trying to keep up with Garrard.

If im the Giants i would play my hardest because this is the best team you will be facing and if you beat them you are entering the playoffs with a whole lot of confidence, If you can beat the pats you can beat anyone.

Thats probably the single most existential factor, indemnifying our illustrius past.

At the very core of this game's appeal, that draws and imbrues itself into the hearts and minds of its devoted audience, is the sense of recognition it attaches to each, and every accomplished feat of notable significance. Among all the heroics and vaunted acclaim, recorded within the League's annals of statistical history, our unbeaten season, to this day has arguably reigned above all, as the supreme achievement.
In a place where scrutiny is everpresent, and immortality is fleeting, New Englands eventual arrival may likely do more to highlight our 35 years of autonomous existence, rather than overshadow it.
