This is a stretch, but hear me out please. I hate the jets and therefore I hate Mark Snatchez (that's my pet name for him). Snatchez may or may not be a solid QB. I don't know yet. He's only started 4 games in the NFL. What I do know is that he's amazingly overhyped. All the commentators are mesmerized by his good looks and charm. They all decided that they cannot reference his good looks and charm, and therefore must say that Snatchez has "the it factor". This is shorthand for "I am in love" for reasons other than football ability. Right now he's got a silly nickname: Sanchize. I can only assume it is a noun meaning "Mark Sanchez is the franchise". I say we turn "Sanchize" into a verb. The new definition would be that Snatchez just committed a turnover. Some uses: "When Joey Porter sacked Sanchez, he Sanchized and JT fell on the ball"; "Sanchez didn't see Channing Crowder fall back into coverage and Sanchized the ball right to him." You guys lucky enough to go to the game need to bring signs saying, "Hey Mark, You Just Got Sanchized" and hold them up after he turns the ball over (He will turn the ball over). If this gets on TV, "Sanchize" the verb could take root. This guy needs to be taken down a few pegs. Is this a good idea, or am I crazy? Seriously.
I think its a good idea I also like Dirty Sanchez better as a nickname, but that probably won't get a sign on TV
This reminds me of that thread on FH where we decided to replace the curse word filter with "Billsfan" anyway we can hope he gets his jersey dirty, then we can say "Look a dirty Sanchez!"
I like it alot. If he continues at the rate he's going : 5 INTs, 5 fumbles, 9 sacks, it probably will catch on.
Well........... I mean, I could make one but it's going to have a pretty limited effect in my living room. But damn it it's a damn good idea GH.
Actually, I mistyped it "Sanchex" earlier this week and like the typo better than the original. It implies Miami's front seven is going to leave him looking like a bag of party mix.
Whoa. You blew my mind. Seriously though, I like the idea of somebody in Landshark to have a sign at the ready that states: MARK, YOU JUST GOT SANCHIZED!!! Just a big, simple sign to hold up after a sack/fumble/interception. If that made it on national TV, it would be awesome!! Maybe that guy with the moustache and hard-hat with all the signs can make one.
Since when is a rabbit punch a sexual act? I get if he would have said something like "Cleveland Steamer" or a "Hot Karl" but a rabbit punch? Really?
My favorate nickname as well, but I would love for someone to try to get a sign up on Monday Night with it.
They'd have no choice of addressing it, if someone in the parking lot was selling brown stick-on mustaches for cheap.
I think the question is, can you get more than two Dolphin fans to go to the game and hold it up. I agree he has gotten some good press, but he deserves some of it. He came into the team a total rook, won the job (no biggy) and lead his team to a 3-1 start. Not bad so far. I watch the same commentators, most of which like what they see but always say something like "but... he needs to learn xxx" So far, he has done well. Not the best I have seen, not a Pro Bowl QB, but a really really good rookie and for now, that is all we are asking of him. Last week, he showed us the damage a true rookie can do, give up more than HALF of the points scored. BZ
It's fine with me. I had just never heard what it meant before. So I'm out of the loop, that's why I ask questions. The word jets is bad enough to me.
I've always like colorful expression, brightens things up & makes you think Will the real Mark Sanchez please stand up so we can knock you down again? there will be blood in the water LandShark Stadium, Monday night.
I always called them the poop shirts before. Because to me they look like baby poo after eating strained peas. You guys are good with the nick names. I like it.
A better question would be is can you make ONE post on our MAIN FORUM without talking smack? You mean like the return guy for Tenn that gift wrapped most of your TD's?
