Piss poor management of the 2 minute offense. Questionable play calls like a QB sneak with such little time left. Calling a timeout with an injury on the field. Lack of explosive plays when it counts.
Considering how well we executed most of the game, this game stings... badly.FinsPensFan, PhinsRock, adamprez2003 and 1 other person like this. -

The whole team, excepting R&R and the OLine.
Terrible clock management and game handling by Sparano. Better than last week, but still bad overall gamecalling by Henning. Pennington not knowing how to run a 4 minute drill (WTF?), Ginn not understanding how to catch a ball in the clutch (Fasano too imo), the whole defense, but especially Gibril Wilson.PhinsRock, betters 75, Ophinerated and 4 others like this. -

The defense.
I also blame the fact that we never set them up for anything. On all of our plays we had the TE come in and block after being set in motion, never once did we lets say:
Send Fasano in motion, have him fake the block, play action and have him release behind the linebackers. We set them up for the knockout punch so well and we never tried to deliver it.BuckeyeKing likes this. -
Ted Ginn and the defense. Family boy dropped two TD's and the D couldn't tackle worth a ****.

True, but our defense gave up 27 points in 15 minutes of offense for the Colts!!

I voted for the 2 Min offense. We shaved about 80+ seconds on 4 plays that gained about 5 total yards. If we played with more urgency I believe we at least would have been on the 10 with around 20 seconds to play.

That's tough. I have to say Ginn though. Sure the D choked and let Manning get the winning TD, but the offense got back on the field, as dismal as the playcalling was, we were still in a position to score. Still had a chance, somehow. The ball was there, right in the hands, and it was dropped. Im sorry, I don't see any other way... All these things contributed to the loss, no doubt about that. But the one key thing that really sealed the deal, is that drop IMO

I voted 2 minute offense. Should have been a vote for the defense. (I'm drunk) We looked friggin great, and it was a great game. Miami's offense did their job. The defense choked...not much, but they choked on key plays.

The defense allowed two touchdowns in 49 seconds combined. That is horrible. I can't bring myself to blame anyone else no matter what they did.

how the hell is a guy who caught 11 for 108 and converted numerous 3rd downs even on this list? Yes he didn't pull down the TD but please

2 minute offense. it was pathetic. running the same play twice in a row with 1 time out and they are run plays, then ginn is an ******* and catches a pass all alone and doesnt get the first down. so we pass to fasano, get the first down, but immediatley brought down.......more time is running. then a ****ing qb sneak on 2nd and 1..(wtf) it was pathetic. terrible clock management, no urgency, bad play calling.
we had the time on the clock, the crowd, the momentum and the confidence, our offense was ready to score....and our offensive play calling at the end of the game lost it for us imo.
no not ginn, not the defnese (the blew ***) but we win that game with better 2 minute management regardless of how ****ty the defense played.

there's a number of things that went wrong. i would like to see the missed field goal added to the poll. if carpenter made that field goal he could of had his shot at a game winning field goal at the end of the game.

LOL at anyone blaming Ginn. If the defense shows up tonight we don't need Ginn.Larry Little, gafinfan and like2god like this. -

Total team loss.
I don't have enough fingers to count the plays we left on the field between the offense, defense, & STs. -

We missed two TDs (Fasano & Ginn's in 2nd QTR--count them as poor passes, catches, whatever, but winning teams make those plays).
We missed two INTs (one resulted in 3 points).
We missed a FG.
We missed an open-field tackle on the opening play that resulted in a TD.
Those are just 6 physical errors right there that affect the outcome. That isn't taking into account the final drive, the offsides penalty before halftime, the defensive breakdown before halftime to allow a FG attempt, the poor offensive/defensive play-calling at times, etc.
Not a good team night. This isn't the best the Dolphins can play. -
a good defense does not allow an 80 YD TD.
a good defense steps up when it has to.
the play calling was too conservative
We had 3:00 left on the clock and played with ZERO urgency.BuckeyeKing likes this. -

the worst part of all of this, is that this was one of the best offensive *** kickings ive ever seen, and we ****ing lost!!!

If you take a step back and calm down it is clearly the defense's fault. There is no way that they should have scored the way that they did. People are forgetting the first 3 and a half quarters of game and then placing blame on who made mistakes at the end of the game. The whole game matters and the defense collapsed.

Maybe we should blame our kicker for missing a 49yd off the dirt earlier. :tongue2: -

It's kind of a trick question. All of the choices contributed to losing. So the only choice is the last one. However if the question is who contributed MOST to losing, it's the defense. I stand by that.

I blamed the offense last week for giving it away, well this week the derfense laid the egg, in spades!! Are you kidding me, 27 points in 14.-- minutes of play! Heaven forbid that Payton might have it for another 10 minutes as you could add another 20 points to that score.
The offense did just about everything right and we still lost.:pity: Lord what would I give for a franchise TE.BuckeyeKing likes this. -

the moral of the story is: don't let the defense eat together evar again.
