Only 2 episodes of Misfits left, Clay. Cryin' shame. This show was good enough that it should've had its own thread.

Caught up to date in the last week with Misfits, I'm enjoying the last season and disappointed there's only 2 eps left. The good news is that there's almost certainly going to be a Misfits movie, and some of the original cast could well be coming back. The bad news is that movies made off the back of hit TV series are usually ****...

Still, I'd pay the admission price for a movie just to see Rudy and Nathan both in it and riffing off each other!

I've never watched The Inbetweeners, but I know loads of people who love it, I've just never got round to watching it. Will do someday, I'm sure it's exactly the type of humour I love.

I just finished it the other night, including the movie [which felt like an extension of the show by 3 additional episodes rolled into one]. It was a quick watch considering it's only 18 episodes at roughly 25 minutes each. Much better than American Pie IMO.

Sherlock is debuting here on the BBC on New Year's Day. But there's also going to be a mini-episode available on our digital BBC service between Christmas and NYD. It's going to cover the time between Reichenbach Falls and the new episode from one character's perspective apparently (I'm guessing Dr Watson's). I'm not sure if BBC America are showing the mini-episode or not.

Well Clay, massively bummed that we're down to the last episode of Misfits.
I think the only show I've been more disappointed about ending is Breaking Bad.
At least they went out like Barry Sanders.

This show would have a cult following on ThePhins if any of these pudwhackers actually started watching it.

Last Series I really dug was "Smith" with Ray Liotta. Was pissed when CBS cancelled it. Can't even find the entire damn series just to rewatch season one. Simon Baker was awesome as a pyscho in the series.

Enjoy Ray Donovan now. Like Liev Schriver in badass roles. Just something cool about a Chili Palmer type... and Elmore Leonard basically created the genre. That helps.

"Sherlock" series with Benedict Cumberbatch are entertaining.

Tried to get into "Low Winter Sun", but too slow moving.

Justified has it's moments. Don't like every episode, but like Deadwood, it's in entertaining at times.

Interested in "The Following" with Kevin Bacon, but haven't caught it yet.

Vikings was interesting to start with, but lost interest after a while. Same with GoT. I enjoy the genre though. Tudors was good IMO.

The new Dracula is interesting. Haven't watched it yet.

I hate most every sitcom. The humor is too contrived and stupid... and repetitive. I enjoy Lillehammer on Netflix though with Steven Van Zandt. Just dark and offbeat enough to be funny to me.

didn't realize Lilyhammer was a Netflix Original. I've thoroughly enjoyed all of their originals thus far so I'll have to check it out.

    You're welcome... :tongue2:

First episode was little slow, but it gets funny as f*** after he starts his mob act back up in Lillehammer...

Used to enjoy "Keen Eddie". A British comedy about about a bundling cop who has Sienna Miller as his roommate and imagines the hot cop secretary (MoneyPenny) talks dirty to him. The horse sperm episode is hysterical...

Finished the last episode of Misfits, Clay.

I see the US's copy of "Rake" is airing on Fox soon [with Greg Kinnear]. No way it'll be as good as the original. Another show I'm massively disappointed is in its final year.

What did you think of it? I was a bit disappointed with them using a re-set to get out of it, so didn't love the finale. However, the makers always said the show wasn't going to have an ending all tied in bows and that it would be sort of open-ended, so I suppose it was fine as it was. Hopefully the movie gets off the ground and we can see some more of Rudy, and maybe some of the originals too.

And by that, I mean I'm definitely feeling a slight tingle in my anus. Going to binge on season 1 tonight. Good call Phin.

    Anyone watching Chicago PD?

I love cop shows, but I've been burned out on the whole "bad cop" thing, given recent events. And the last thing I want is to get involved in the life of another Vic Mackie. But I decided to peek in...HOOKED.

haven't seen it yet. The Bridge is an excellent cop/detective drama. Might wanna read a summary about it.

I'd be surprised if you didn't thoroughly enjoy Rake [Australian version]. Comedy/drama about an attorney who takes on crazy cases that no one else would accept. Similar feel to Californication. It's so good that Fox picked it up and gave the lead to Greg Kinnear, but I doubt he can match the prowess of Richard Roxborough.

Season 1 of misfits in the books. Great season. Great show. Nathan might be my new favorite character on TV. Decided to stay up late and watch a little of season 2.

Really enjoying the different blends of comedy. Brits know how to do it right. Surprised at the darkness of the show at times too. Wasn't expecting some of the heaviness, but it always worked. The show clearly rips off X-files (which most shows do, actually) in terms of episode format w/the different twists on the storytelling and narrative. But the characters are so original and great, it's not even remotely a problem. It reminds me of Community, in that everything happens in this little world. Keeping the show on a smaller scope (unlike Heroes) works perfect.

Kind of wished they had set up a villain. I always hated the way Heroes screwed up Sylar given his amazingness. Given Simon's social ineptitude and mistreatment, it could always turn out to be him later. Would be cool to see the growth of his villainy if it goes that way.

If anyone hasn't watched misfits, do yourself a favor and find a streaming site and go watch. Season 1 is only 6 eps at 45min a clip. It's addicting as hell.

Shameless... one messed up show... it's supposed to be a comedy and I do laugh at certain things but sometimes I don't. I just started watching it though... about halfway thru season 1. The girl that plays Karen Jackson, Laura Wiggins, is really cute. Google Image Laura Wiggins Shameless and you'll see why.

Also been watching Klondike.. on Discovery. It's starring Richard Madden (GoT fans will remember him), Tim Roth and Sam Sheppard. Looks like it's three 2 hour episodes only. Haven't watched the last one yet. It's okay. Not outstanding... but if you like the whole Alaska/gold rush thing, you might like this.

I just started The Riches [was on FX from 2007-08]. It's been on my watch list for a while b/c it's so highly rated on IMDB but I kept putting it off. Finally got around to watching it and I must must say, I'm impressed.

It's about a family of gypsies/thieves [including its 3 kids] that assume the identity of a wealthy couple [the Riches], move into their huge home, and then have to acclimate to their new lives as the Riches which takes on a personality of its own. There's initially some good comedy and drama, and as the conflicts arise, some quality suspense kicks in as well. It kinda has a feel of Weeds. Eddie Izzard is outstanding. Just a well done show.

As time goes by, I find less and less on TV that I like. For years, so many things that are popular are dark, gritty and angry, and that just doesn't appeal to me at all.

I love Community, which is always just barely hanging on. I like Bones, New Girl, and the Mindy Project. My wife watches Grimm, which is ok, but I don't think that I'd watch it on my own. Agents of Shield is getting better. I had really high hopes and it let me down at first, but its finding its legs. Thats about it today. Most shows that Ive gotten into in the past decade have been cancelled by the time they got to two seasons, or less.
