Not sure how I missed this thread yesterday. Listening to it now. I think I agree with you; mixed feelings about it. Definitely not as good as Casino Royales theme.

 

I think it's god awful. And that's coming from a diehard Bond fan. Thankfully the movie looks to be much much better than it's musical counterpart.

 

Definitely a bad use of Alicia Keys' voice. No wonder they put it in a Coke commercial first.

 

Depending on the visual that comes with it, it may make or break it for me. As a stand alone song, it sounds more like a jam session between two artists as opposed to any type of structured, planned out piece.

If the visuals on the opening credits are good, it could help it become a little bit more memorable. It seems to fit in wih the Bond motif to me though.

I think it fits as a Bond opening, but I can't say that I like it as a stand alone song. That's been the case with many, maybe even most of he Bond themes.
