Motivational Stories From Kentucky Little League
This one-legged wonder featured in the photo above is 8-year-old Adam Bender, who has one leg (obviously) and, apparently, may still have a higher OPS than Richie Sexson will this year.

This is an awesome story. Check out the video. Makes me feel like a punk for complaining about how shot my knees were when I played ball.

The vid is cool because it shows him getting trucked at the plate. You gotta love kids, we as adults might feel awkward annihilating a one-legged person, but you know damn well that kid just wanted to score and didnt care who was in his way

yeah I saw him standing there and I was like no crap the plays at home and he's not moving lol. I like the second time he gets the guy out at home then jumps to push all the other runners back.
Kids got some huevos foe shoe.

Sucks that he won't be able to compete in the same leagues in a few years in all likelihood.

    calphin deadly at 250 yards!!

What an awesone story!! That kid should be an inspiration to us all. Having that much drive and motivation is truly a testament to his willpower. I tip my hat to his parents as well for not ever letting him quit or give up.

I have a niece who has half of one hand, not the same situation but she can do many things with it. I am really starting to gain respect for some of these younger-than-me kids. Never thought I would because of their level of immaturity and annoyingness but some of them are really great and really hope they succeed at what they do. Really happy to see that people aren't treating him different because he is no different than the rest of us.

Me too, and I'd be pulling for him if I were a coach.
