I thought they were not allowing live blogging this year. Anyway this report says there will be live entries starting from 5 pm. I am closeby and there are have been some heavy thunderstorms passing by but they clear fairly quickly.
If you go through some Michigan highlight videos(Before this last season, of course), he's #72. Can search "Michigan Offensive Highlights" in Google, Chad Henne, etc. and so on if you are so inclined.
Its not really live-blogging, he said in the morning that he has to go to the media room to actually blog, so I guess he writes down the times on his notepad and everyonce in a while he'll go post his notes.
From the blog: Charlie Anderson is playing ROLB with the first team, while Rob Ninkovich is manning the LOLB. Sparano mentioned this morning that Porter’s injury, while unfortunate, allows the coaching staff to monitor other players. And he specifically mentioned Ninkovich (Junior Glymph was the other). They’re playing a 3-4 defense, but Anderson and Ninkovich are both playing on the line of scrimmage. Crowder and Ayodele continue to man the middle. Offensive guard Donald Thomas goes down. He’s laying in the end zone, surrounded by trainers. They wrap tape around his right calf. Doesn’t look too serious, but we’ll monitor.
Maybe maser and henning know something about this riley kid from michigan, maybe big Jake gave the front office an endorsement as well
Final Report: * Not much more to report. The Fins finished up 11-on-11 drills and hit the locker room. The QBs look rusty, Ricky looks great, Ronnie looks great considering he had ACL surgery 10 months ago, and Davone Bess has vacuums for hands. The next time he drops a pass will be the first. For the record, the Dolphins made nine roster moves today — four guys officially signed (Henne, Reuben Riley, Phillip Merling and Anthony Armstrong), three guys cut (Justin Wynn, Dan Gore and Julius Wilson) and two guys placed on the PUP list (Joey Porter, Michael Lehan). There’s about 55 guys in that locker room worried that they might be next. You can smell the fear.
Wait wait, did I read ................ an end around to ...... ERNEST WILFORD? Did we bring Mularkey back or something!?!?!?! Nah seriously though, some good stuff. Excited to see Ricky back there. If hes even close to where he was a few years ago it will help us a ton. Good to see all these guys are feeling the pressure and heat of competition and not sitting around taking things for granted.
man im really excited for ricky....i hope he can stay clean cuz he is looking and sounding beastly out there.
Whats the reason behind not allowing press/fans to send reports as they happen crud? Seems lame to me.
I like the addition of Riley. he was pretty good on the OL at Michigan. Great to hear about bess having vacuums for hands. id love to see him make this team, he has the potential i think to be a really good player for us.
I am getting more excited about Ricky Williams by the day. I think if the defense can play up to par, we can win a lot of games. This can be a very productive ball control offense with Ricky and Ronnie running the ball.
Our Offense will run the ball. Its just what we will be built to do this year. The offensive line is built to run the ball which is the easiest thing for an offensive linemen to do. Teams will put 8 in the box and try to stop us opening up the play action and passing plays out of run formations with Ginn fly pattern/double moves and such for big chunks. If we can find a QB to manage the game and utilizing a Big WR in Wilford, TE's and RB's to convert 3rd and obvious pass, we can have offensive success. A revamped special teams should provide better field position for both sides of the ball, and if they can remained disciplined set up some of Ginns TD returns that stand and aren't called back for penalties. It is going to take solid play in all facets of the game to win. How soon it all clicks will determine our overall record. IMO, as long as sometime this year it does click, no matter what the record, it will have been a successfull year.
