So then was it a mistake for the Jets taking Keller, Chicago taking Olsen, and Pitt taking Miller? Posted via Mobile Device
Absolutely!! I would too. Especially since that would mean we'd be picking Top 10. LOL. If that were the case, I would use a high 2nd or future 1st on Gresham. Imagine Dez and Gresham together!! It would take surgery to remove Henne's boner. If we draft Dez then that means we could trade Ginn or Bess to keep from having to use a 1st. ???? Edited: Oops...removing it might be a little excessive....maybe just relieve it instead.
The more I think about who we are going to pick next year the more Jerry Hughes name comes up. I haven't watched him play but from what I have read about him and just my gut tells me he will be a dolphin next year. I want dez though fwiw. Logically though they will take a lb. Always seem to.
Strategically, if we do finish 6-10/5-11, we would be making a mistake to not pick either one of the Stud NT or a passrushing OLB when you choose that high you have to have value for a long time out of the player to me that trumps even "need" at Wr.
Depends on how they feel about Solai. I still think you Take Berry or Bryant. We would have a very good Receiving core with Bryant as our number 1 Ginn at 2 and Bess as the slot guy. I think we need Berry more however.
We're all salivating at the thought of those three in our secondary. Too much potential not to be excited about.
Holy crap CJ Spiller just had the most exciting play of the season vs Maryland!! Takes a KO to the house while losing a shoe after tearing through coverage. I will be one depressed mofo if I have to watch him in a Pats uni next year!
Rolando McClain is playing lights out against Kentucky right now. He's responsible for three of the four turnovers forced by the Alabama defense. My only issue with him right now is that he looks stiff changing directions. Even on the interception that he had, he looked stiff turning around. Can't deny his talent though. Wow.
Heath Miller not a dual threat? Keller's a better blocker than given credit for. Neither are coming off season ending knee injuries.
Love Jerry Hughes. I think he's a brilliant player, but if he doesn't get close to matching his 2008 productivity, then questions will be asked, especially as he essentially came from nowhere.
I'm watching Clemson but I have that game recording so I can watch Rolando and Micah later on. McClain's still my boy. I know he's a little stiffer, but I'll take superior instincts and awareness over average instincts and awareness with tremendous speed and loose hips. You gotta know what you're doing and where you're going before you can actually get there right? IMO you don't have to be overly fluid or quick if you think & react quickly/accurately and are constantly putting yourself into position to make plays. His hips might be tighter, but how long does it take him to get from point A to point B after a play shows itself? Posted via Mobile Device
LOL... Miller's worked hard on developing his blocking, and Keller was not known for being a blocker at Purdue. I would be inclined to think that Gresham doesn't "appear" to be a great blocker so far, but how much of that is due to circumstance? How much do you take away from your offensive strategy of using Gresh as a receiving playmaker in order to better develop his blocking? He was one of the key components of the highest scoring offense in NCAA history. Do you mess with that to help get Gresh more "NFL ready"? I would fire a coach who would think they needed to change their offensive strategy in order to give him more experience blocking. Oklahoma's only agenda is to win, not develop players to be better suited for the NFL. Gresh seems like the kind of guy who if you ask him to block, he'll give you everything. Wouldn't defenses have to respect the pass more when he's in the game, hence opening up the run more without him needing to be a tremendous blocker?....and didn't we spend enough money on our Oline that we shouldn't have to require a mauling TE, too? Question: If we drafted Hakeem Nicks at #26 and he gave us 800-1200 yards & 8+ TD's a year, would you be pleased with that?
Is it just me or does Notre Dame's Kyle McCarthy make a significant amount of plays? Every time there's a turnover created on the defensive side of the ball, it's McCarthy making it or helping create it.
So was Strahan, but you didn't see him too distracted by all the tight bubbles and arse grabbin. Oooops....wrong ferry.
Yup!! I can't help but think he reminds me a little of Hartline. ????? (with more fire of course...LOL) He seems like he does a line of blow before every snap ala Lawrence Taylor
Mehhh....Jealous of his wrists, are ya? Few more hours in the shower each day and you, too, can have wrists like that.
He's held together with tape but he's as tough as they come, has serious hands and runs great routes.
Impressed today by the DT tandem of Jeff Owens and Geno Atkins of Georgia. Jeff Owens really intrigues me as a possible fit for the Dolphins
UM compliment of the decade courtesy of Brent Musberger: "You know how many Canes have been arrested under his (Shannon's) watch?"..... "Just one!".
i heard that too expoecting to hear zero and then he comes out with one! i guess thats good for miami u
Any thoughts on Ryan D'Imperio from Rutgers? Parcells' loves those NJ boys so thought I would see if I could get any insight on the guy.
I've got him on tape, just haven't looked at him yet. They also got another late round cornerback that might not be bad; McCourty? Something like that.
I jokingly said 10 to be funny bc I was expecting Musberger to say "zero"....so when he enthusiastically said "just one", I couldn't contain myself. He completely caught me off guard. If I were drinkin something, it wouldve come out my nose! Posted via Mobile Device
...on a positive note- I saw a squirell, with its eyes gouged out, find an acorn in my back yard today.
