There had been some debate on this forum in recent years that Ross paid too much for the team and the stadium when he purchased it in 2009. It is now being reported that the Buffalo Bills will be sold for $1.4 billion dollars. The new owner has also stated he will spend his own money to add upgrades to the Bills stadium, which is over 40 years old. The stadium is owned by the city of Buffalo and not by the ownership of the Bills. If the Buffalo Bills organization, which plays in an old stadium, owned by the city is worth $1.4 billion dollars, how much could Ross get for his team and stadium if he put it on the market? I would assume he could get far more money than the Bills are being sold for and hundreds of millions more than he purchased the organization and stadium for five years ago. Hopefully this will end the debate regarding if Ross overpaid for the Dolphins or not. He or his heirs will make plenty of money from the sale of this team when they decide to put it on the market in the future. Right now it looks like Ross got a heck of a great deal when he became majority owner of the Dolphins in 2009.
