2 great RT tackles normally means one great RT and a pretty good RG, I'll take it.

 

Sorta OT: Murtha is a really cool guy. You can often find him Friday night at the weekly car show in the Tower Shops off of 84 & University. He is out there talking about his red Mustang pretty often. He's a nice person and takes the time to talk with ya about cars which is pretty sweet.

 

Perfect world: Murtha wins the battle, Martin starts at LG, Incognito switches to RG.

 

Not so sure. If Incognito has grown used to the left side (which he's played two years now) then you should probably leave him there.

Perfect world to me, Martin starts at Right Tackle and Murtha starts at Right Guard.

 

Perfect world is they all stay healthy and we have quality depth at one of our worst positions.

Usually that world barely makes it out of TC.

Yep, suits me fine and really what I'd like to see happen.

Murtha's problem is he is made of glass, literally, he calls Joe Toledo "durable".

John Jerry looked good at LT filling in for Big Jake, would like to see him in OL mix as well.

 

What else would he say? That he is going to just resign himself to being a backup to Martin? I remember him saying the same thing a year ago. The first thing he needs to figure out is how to stay healthy and on the field.

 

Murtha may not be very durable, but no way is he as bad as Joe Toledo.

 

Hmm, they both have played about as often, both had lower leg issues, both were thought to be answers for the OL.

To me, they simply must find a way to recoupe some value from John Jerry, he should not be just written off do to regime change.

 

There isn't a lot of hope for the offense to make big strides if our Oline and WR corps don't improve. Hopefully he steps up to the plate.

 

With Marshall not being a number one maybe these young recievers will rotate more often and help wear down the D's running full speed routes more often.

 

He threatens Joe Toledo status. He came into the league injured and has spent most of his time injured.

 

As far as the WRs unit goes, the Dolphins just really need Michael Egnew to be all that was advertised.

 

Well it was just pre-season, but Murtha looked great at LT. I'd feel better starting out the season with a veteran OL but if Martin is dominant then it's all gravy.

 

I think the passing game improves BECAUSE Marshall is not there and it's a better scheme with a better coach. The OL? Cannot possibly be worse than Columbo.

 

Joe Toledo has yet to play in a regular season game in the NFL. Murtha has played in 9. 'Nuff said.

 

"Great" is not the word I'd use to describe Murtha last preseason. He was a passable LT, about all you could hope for as a backup at that position, IMO.

 

It boggles the mind to try and grasp why Sparano couldn't see what a liability Colombo was, and at least try Garner or Jerry there after a few games. Not only pass blocking, but both Bush and Thomas had their lowest avg per carry running behind RT.
