I know he loves Macfadden, heck, Jones went to the college. They do like the 2 back system and Jones will not be signed as a FA (In fact rumors are he will be Ronnie's backup here), but I doubt Jerry Jones makes that trade, the cost will be way to high.

If you watch Dallas, they run the two back system, neither get starters carries. I agree barber is a studd, but they use two backs in Dallas, and Jones will cost to much to keep. They will look for another RB, and Jerry does love Macfadden, but I agree the price will be to high.

Jerry Jones is an Arkansas Alumni . He goes to all the games he can and this year isn't any different. He isnt making any special trips just to see McFadden. I will also remind everyone that the draft is all about lies and misdirection , take what GM's say with a grain of salt.

they do use two backs. but they shouldnt. barber has significantly outperformed jones this year.

my guess? they shared carries to keep the miles off barber, who they plan on keeping long-term.

now there is no way you can convince me that they will sign a big-time RB to replace jones. theyll prob draft someone in the later rounds, that will provide more than enough production for the position.

you also have to remember, they are a pass-first offense.

you can find a really good back up rb in late rounds

Rumor is Jery jones wants Aikman (romo) Irvin (owens) and Smith (Mcfadden).... Jerry Jones has done this before he always gives up 1st round picks to get players he wants... He did it for Damarcus Ware Dallas has given up 1st round picks almost half of the time since Jerry Jones has owned Dallas. He wants Mcfadden.... I never said he's getting him.... Yet he is going to try.... What if Barber wants to go to another team??? and they dont want to pay him the money...

This is not Warren Sapp we're talking about. This is Glenn Dorsey. He's actually listed at around 310-315 on a couple sites (ESPN, NFLdraftscout, Yahoo). We'll just have to wait for the combine for his actual weight. But do you know how easy it is for DL/OL players to gain weight? 10 pounds would be nothing for him. 325 is perfect size for a good NT. Look at Casey Hampton, Vince Wilfork, and Jason Ferguson. None of them are above 325 (Ferguson is only 310) and they all have the key factor for a good NT: quick, strong legs. Dorsey has exactly that and would have no problem manning the NT for us. It's a lot better to look at how the player actually plays than to look at the numbers and weight and such. And one more thing, it's not like we're always in the 3-4 anyways or always will be. Put JT back on the line and you're already in a 4-3 again.

dorsey is not a lb over 300.

yes, im sure dorsey can put on 10lbs and play NT. he may even been pretty good at it

but he is not worthy of of a high first rounder as a 3-4 NT. he is an UT.

And as good as Barber is, most scouts don't rate him in the class of McFadden, who some suggest will be as good as Adrian Peterson, this year's running back phenomenon.

Dont know about you but if we dont get what we want i think another good RB is a good idea, especially when Ricky is done, and Ronnie might take 2 years to heal properly and be back to where he was. If McFadden is this once in a life time RB you do not pass on him unless u get every point the 1st overall is worth

1) Ricky is already done. He was done after 2005. He and Keith Traylor shop at the same clothing stores, because both walk around with forks sticking out of their backs.

2) Ronnie is ahead of schedule on a rehab period that was expected to be as short as 9 months in the first place.

3) Here's the little secret about Darren McFadden: he's Ronnie Brown's equal, not his superior.

I didn't hear about that one, but awesome! I am sure Ronnie will be a little slow out of the gate, but it would be nice to have him healthy enough to go for TC.

We have the #1 pick overall.
It could easily go for Chris Long
It could just as easily go for Glenn Dorsey (I hope)

heck it could even go for Jake Long....I kindve hope not...but I seriously doubt it goes for McFadden.. NO reason. Ronnie Brown is one of the very few positions we DONT need to improve on, and McFadden isnt even an upgrade to begin with

On Ronnie's rehab time, from a Sun-Sentinel(?) story quoting the standard recovery time for ACL tears as 9-12 months. Ronnie suffered a clean ACL tear, and what little we've heard suggests that he's coming along speedily.

I totally agree... I like McFadden Gholston and DOrsey all for several reasons, but the one thing that McFadden brings to the table that the other 2 don't is that he will instantly make our offence better. If you can manage to sign one big Oline free agent and draft a starting rookie in first day, you have a good Oline with 2 excellent backs, two speed demons (ginn n booker ) ... and then we would know what beck really is made of
