Thanks to the BCS & lack of playoff system, we will never know.

NC game should have been LSU vs. USC IMO.

This is the second year in a row that OSU has proved they didn't belong there. Hopefully the BCS gets it right next year.

I give LSU the nod over Georgia because of winning the conference. I know they didn't play each other but thats no ones fault.

As long as we have the current system in place, there's no possible way to get it right in that regard. Both years OSU had a record that separated them from the pack. Even though the Big 10 is in the bottom two of BCS conferences, there wasn't a way to exclude them this year w/o a major **** storm. Last year there was no doubt that OSU was in a class by itself, until the NC game at least. This year there was plenty of doubt, but the record was there, fair or not.

If OSU is tied with another team next year, then I think the voters will overwhelmingly go against OSU. There was just no way for them to do it this year.

West Virginia. They beat themselves vs PITT (2 missed FGs) injury to QB, etc. Otherwise they were in NC game.

I dont see a team that could have contained that Offense speed (with healthy QB) and their D is so bizarre teams just dont know how to prepare.

IMO the two best teams at the end of the season were Georgia and USC although I have no problem with LSU playing in the NC game .

On the other hand OSU was overated again IMO .Their level of competition year in and year out is substandard .

The Michigan win over Florida had more to do with how bad Floridas defense is than how good Michigan is.

What favors the Big ten is that lot of voters and sports press are from the northeast so those teams tend to get overated.Thats not going to change until there is a playoff system .

I said The Bulldogs! I thought they should have been in this game to begin with.

USC and Georgia were playing the best football at the end of the season. I wish the Rose Bowl would've gone with Georgia over Illinois. USC was the best team at the end of the year, IMO.

The Rose Bowl has robbed every college football fan of one of, if not the most intriguing game the last two years.

Last year it should have been LSU and USC. Would have been every bit as intriguing, if not more so than the NC game. Instead we go the USC/Mich and LSU/ND stinkers.
Same thing this year. USC/UGA snubbed for USC/Ill and UGA/Hawii.

    Robbed.

In fairness to last year, many thought that going into the Rose Bowl that Michigan was the 2nd best team in the country. Illinois didn't belong in a BCS game. Because of the two team rule Missouri ultimately got robbed this year. I just want to see good games and the best possible match-ups at the end of the year in CFB; that seems to not happen often.

Couple of people have said it....at the END OF THE YEAR Georgia, LSU and USC were the class of the BCS teams....but the NC is for the year...how can anyone ignore USC losing to STANFORD .... STANFORD......my goodness...freakin Stanford....Georgia lost at Tennessee and at home to South Carolina...LSU lost in 3 overtimes to Kentucky and Arkansas...and then BLEW OUT OSU...the game was not even as close as the score.

IMHO LSU is hands down the #1 team and deserving...best team for the overall body of work and best at the end of the year....case closed in my book.

Georgia should go into next year #1 IMHO...Moreno, great defense, young yet experienced OL (started 5 underclassmen most of the year), extremely good recruiting class, experienced QB,,,,not a lot lost from a team that should be in the top 3 in the final poll for 07 season.

SEC will again be the class of the conferences..Auburn will be better, Alabama will be better, Miss. St will be better, Georgia will be just as good, Tennessee will be better, SC may be a little weaker on D but much improved on offense, Arkansas a little weaker and Florida who knows,,,they have Harvin and Tebow so they should be just as good, if they can find a defense somewhere.

The Stanford loss was terrible. They blew out OSU who got to the game on the premise that they've got one loss and everybody else has two loses so they deserve to get in. Unless a playoff format is in place I don't believe anybody can say their is a definitive number 1 team. Isn't it about seeing the best two teams play? Not about who has the better loses?

The SEC is the best conference but I don't think it's by nearly the margin that it's made out to be. Case in point their are 5 Big 12 teams in the top 25, 4 in the top 10. Their are 5 SEC teams in the top 25, 4 Pac-10 teams. So while it's better it's not like the rest of the conferences are garbage.

I did not mean to imply that the other conferences are garbage, but the SEC is by FAR IMHO a better conference.

If you looked at 20 years you would probably see UF, UGA, Tennessee, Auburn, Alabama finish in the top 20 75-80% of the time...throw in the occassional Arkansas, Kentucky or SC teams that are competiive and it is almost impossible to go unbeaten and damn hard to come out with 1 loss. Now SC, Arkansas and Kentucky generally will not beat the all of the big 5 in any year, but they are capable of beating any ONE of them every year. For the most part I take a 2 loss SEC team over a unbeaten or 1 loss PAC 10, BIG 12, BIG 10, BIG 7,9, 2, or 4 or ACC...and I am a Miami fan...but that conference is just better..still fine football elsewhere but the SEC is just that good...IMHO............

The SEC is up and overall the conference probably has the best coaches. Though I think other conferences will improve while some teams get back to where they were. Miami and FSU come to mind in the ACC. Va Tech has established itself, so that conference should improve.

If Nebraska can comeback that'll help the Big 12. I'm not sure if Kansas or Mizzou have "staying power," but I think A&M and Colorado can become more formidable under new coaches.

I think Rich Rodriguez will help out Michigan but I think the Big East may go back down. Louisville probably was as big of a dissapointment, IMO as anyone in the country. WVU will be good next year but can the new guy recruit? Ron Zook I think will help Illinois.

The SEC is the best but i'm not positive if it'll stay like that. I think it runs in cycles.

.... Your kidding right? LAst year we went undefeated and had a Heisman winner. We just got outplayed and out coached.

This years NCG was there really a team that deserved it? LAst time I checked there were a bunch of team that blew their chance. You should be mad at the teams that choked it up.

You should actually thank Ohio St. With their loss the Playoff discussion is heating up.
