LucasArts-Bioware announcement coming Oct. 21 - News at GameSpot Kotor MMO will steal my life away if this turns out to be true
One of my old guild leaders that I still talk to works at bioware. I can't for the life of me get him to tell me anything. Not to far away from the announcement though, so we'll see.
Yea same I got a buddy at bioware but he works on mass effect. They usually can't say much NDA will get em fired if anything gets out.
I guess I don't see how you would think that. I doubt it will keep same gamplay elements. The reason its KOTOR is not the style but the era in which the game takes place which is the Knights of the Old Republic. Which you got plenty of characters in the universe which can be made playable.
I know a KOTOR MMO made by Bioware will be top quality but I really am hoping for an RPG. KOTOR 2 essentially left a big gaping cliffhanger unresolved and left the gamer feeling underwhelmed compared to the first one. I got a buddy who's working as an intern at Lucasarts and he's all but confirming an MMO. Oh well, guess I still got the KOTOR series from Dark Horse Comics (a very great series btw, lotta references to the game and a top notch storyline and character set) to keep me busy.
MMO's bore me to tears. I have tried so many of them and only to stop playing them after a week. We'll see with this though.
pretty much everything Bioware touches turns to gold, so while i would prefer a sequel to Kotor anything set in the KOTOR universe intrigues me.
I'm surprised Lucasarts and Lucasfilm haven't delved as much into that era of SW history. Other than the graphic novels, there haven't been much.
I agree thats why I have high hopes for an MMO. Sure mmo's get boring and bioware more than likely will have some grinding but they seem to do such a great job with games. I am more than willing to give it a chance.
