Go mac. I had a dell and what was said earlier that they burn out after 3-4 years is true. I went through two in a 7 year stretch...while I know people who have had the same laptop whether mac or windows based for 7 years. Dell is poop. That said, I went Mac and its ok but i dont love it the way a lot of others do. I want a Google laptop in addition to my Galaxy Tab 10.1. Google is the best imo.
So what did you choose? I'm starting to shop for a new laptop now. My 07 black macbook still runs but it is time for a new laptop. I'm debating between a new macbook pro and a windows laptop. Originally thought I would go PC so I could play games (namely Guild Wars 2) without issue but now I think I might just get the macbook since I have had zero issues with mine.

I got the GPA I needed to go to the University of Florida, which doesn't supply me with a new laptop. I can't complain though because I am going to save over $100,000 at UF compared to the other school.
Just "Surface". I'll give Microsoft credit, integrating a keyboard into the magnetic flip cover--hey, where have I seen that before? --is a great idea. But they seem to be doing it in order to emulate a laptop, rather than to enhance the abilities of a tablet. IMO, that's the incorrect philosophy.
Safari is all I use, I never have issues with it and I love the "Reading List" option. On topic, buy a Mac, you won't be sorry. In fact, you'll be asking yourself what took you so damn long.
