Has anybody tried this yet? From I have read and seen it looks to me like a repackaging of Planetside. I beta tested planetside way back when and it was a blast so I think I'll at least Gamefly MAG. If any of you have played it lemme know what you think of it.

Definition of flop. It was overhyped when announced but apparantly the beta was terrible.

Was in the Beta and it was nothing short of gut wrenching awful. Slow, boring, not tactical, terribly bad controls, boring, boring, boring.

its just a bit ahead of its time. Its a great idea but we're not there yet.
Plus, this game absolutely needed to come with a headset at $60. I have a ps3, dont have a headset for it, and im not gonna buy one just to play this online. Without the headset, this game makes no sense. If you cant talk to your team then whats the point?
Honestly, sony literally has to give me a headset before i take the PSN seriously. -
I got it for cheap thanks to some best buy rewards. I've only played acouple of hours so far. Maybe I've just gotten lucky but so far:
No ten year olds screaming into their mics calling everyody various names. Seems to be an older crowd playing.
Much more teamwork. Reminds me more of a PC game than a console game.
Voice communication works great. I was worried about this due to the large number of players, but its really pretty good.
Pretty enjoyable so far.
Seems like most people are putting teamwork to achieve team goals ahead of simply leveling up.

Ive been playing this game for about a week, been enjoying it personally. The team play is way beyond COD, its a lot of fun. We have about 10 or so people that I work with that play it regularly its great for large groups of people. Its not perfect but I enjoy it personally. Not sure what beta was like, never played the beta version.
