LeBron James playoff and regular season stats. Unfortunately it doesn't keep track of the # of games he choked away...:

    http://www.nba.com/playerfile/lebron_james/career_stats.html

Looking at it, his numbers are just unbelievably good year round. In the playoffs, he plays more minutes, has increased his FG % 2 times over his regular season average to over 50% in the playoffs, increases his rebounding, increases his FT %, and overall has a higher playoff PPG than regular season (by .03 points). His career playoff stats, over 92 games, include playing 43.6 mpg and scoring 28 ppg, while shooting 46% from the field and 35% from 3 (higher than his regular season average). His rebounding per game increases as well to 8.4 per game, while keeping his assists, steals, and FT % the same but managing to increase his blocks per contest.

Clearly, the guy sucks and I wish he had nothing to do with my franchise.

    Wait, what?

    Kobe 2010 reg season avg 25.3ppg .451%... 2010 post season avg 22.8ppg .446%

    Lebron 2010 reg season avg 26.7ppg .510%... 2010 post season avg 23.7ppg ..466%

obviously, neither player benefited from facing the Mavs...

    career wise?
Kobe reg season avg 25.3ppg .454%.. post season avg 25.4ppg ..448%
Lebron reg season avg 27.7ppg .479%.. post season avg 28ppg .460%

    Fairly consistent.

I wish I had a good source for 4th quarter stats though.

this isn't bad... it provides "clutch" stats... defined as " 4th quarter or overtime, less than 5 minutes left, neither team ahead by more than 5 points"

Heat/James fans might want to take a look... in the interest of fairness...

    http://www.82games.com/1011/CSORT11.HTM

Unfortunately it's just regular season though...

So he's the 4th most productive in pts per 48 while Kobe is 1st (a difference of almost 5 pts), yet Kobe takes 11 more FGAs per 48 minutes to get there?

I'm not sure what you're trying to show with the link, aside from that the Cavs traded away arguably the most clutch player in the league last year.

There are two sides here. One is using the facts, the other is yelling out loud and covering his ears.

This is why I cannot stand Lebron arguments. It's like this with everyone.

Absolutely NOT. They are the anti-model franchise. I wish they were run like the Lakers or Spurs. The only consistent asset available is Dolan's wallet to buy picks and now thats been limited by the new CBA. They drive me absolutely nuts with their win-now mindset which usually results in them coming up a bit short.

Their best hope for long term success in the east right now is to let Iman Shumpert and Toney Douglas develop in to an above average backcourt to support their talented frontcourt.

Why look at just one season?

Also worth noting that while Lebron scored less, he was a full 3% higher in FG%.

    ???

Well, yeah, what you posted supports my argument. I didn't make these numbers up.

However, You are using conventional stats. I prefer WP, EFF. and PER. and with those, it is much more stark.

in Conventional stats, which you posted, Lebron James has better numbers, and he does outperform his regular season numbers, while Kobe Bryant does not.

AMore stats that support our argument.

Lebron is choker! Or should I say, 446 other players in the NBA choke more than Lebron?

BTW, if you use those stats and use the OVR EFF. rating on it (Similar to .OPS), Lebron would rank #1, by a WIDE MARGIN.

Guess I'll just wait until June to point and laugh, seems the arrogance and denial are back and here to stay until the Heat get knocked out of the playoffs again.

I'm a good sport though and look forward to jousting with these guys until that day in June happens.

LOL. A Guarantee! Based on? nothing. and the Heat didn't get knocked out of the "playoffs", they lost in the FINALS. But you wouldn't know anything about that.

Surely, you would bet on this right? you know..laying 2 to 1 (current Odds) is more than enough for easy money. I mean, what bank pays 50% interest over a few months? Money in the bank right?

    get ready for prolonged...

    Silence..............

And I am a betting man, go check out the sharps challenge homie.

Also if there is ever a prop bet on Lebron being a scared defeated lil girl at some point in the playoffs, let me know I'll bet the friggin house on it.

    So bad?

Talk about making stuff up...I gladly would've taken one of the best players in the NBA on my team. Who wouldn't? But does that mean I should ignore what i see from him when the going gets tough? Sorry but I call a spade a spade it just is what it is.

Listen, when youve been championshipless for 38 years sometimes delusion is all I have for my Knicks. I mean at least nowadays theyre watchable so thats a start. Next up is firing Coach Pringles (since he looks like the guy on the front of the Pringles potato chip can)....

Not making anything up. You made a "guarantee". it's right there here in this thread.

Check out a internet handicapping contest with no stakes to show that you are a betting man? Now, this is trolling at it's finest.

And you would bet against Lebron playing well in the playoffs, when for the most part, that is all he does. You must hate money.

    Anyway, Just what I thought.

    Obfuscation, and deflection.

Just putting it out there, I hate future bets, because the house holds the money for months, and charges you vig to hold it. But I would make an exception with you. Match the worst odds the Heat have online, and I'll bet it, if you book it.

Well, check the TV ratings and the attendance in every arena, the Heat go to.

The Knicks are at least relevant again, which is more than can be said for alot of teams, including the Dolphins.

    You sir are classic!

You know nothing of my personal life, yet you suggest the only betting I do is our contest on this site??

    Well, once again your wrong.

Im not interested in flexing my muscles and posting what I have made the past 7 weeks betting in real life, and if you think Lebron played well late in games last year then I would hate to see the games he would have to have for you to admidt he struggled. And as far as your bet goes I agree the Heat should be the odds on fav to win it all, they have 3 very very good players. Also I predicted that one day Lebron would become a MAN and stop pouting in the 2nd half of playoff games when his team needs to be inspired.

Even I would favor the Heat to win it all this year. But if a team pushes them into a situation where Lebron is feeling pressure late in a critical game of the finals??? I wouldnt be suprised to see him fold for the 3RD year in a row.
