    he blindly shot at "a figure in the dark." Cmon give me a break, what was he thinking. You gotta have better control than that when handling a gun. How does he not say something like, "who's there." or "gtfo of my house." You gotta give warning before you shoot a gun, what if its not someone you want to shoot...

    Not poor guy. Poor girl.

    As others have said you always identify the target before sighting on it, and a good old fashioned "Stop or I'll shoot" wouldn't have gone astray.

    I'm not one to advocate lawsuits but in this one it wouldn't bother me one iota if the fiance's family went after him for wrongful death.
