It makes sense 124, Jets Fans animous aside, Mangini did have two "turnaround" seasons, and two winning seasons in three years, and being from the Belicheat tree, they won't (or shouldn't) have to start over at -0- in schemes or the players to fit the schemes.

I think this is a bad situation. Reportedly he will keep Crennel as DC.

Personally, they needed to hire a GM first. I think this all went down way to fast and wont end well.

I thought they said that he was interested in keeping him but Crennel thought it was best if he didn't return to the locker room?

ryan was on the patriots staff for a few years under Bellicheat before going to the Raiders. I guess that works out ok.

i wonder what Crennel is gonna do, kinda odd a guy you used to work with on another team has your old job now

Mangini and Ryan together could be a good fit. The Browns have a ton of talent to work with.

Could be, I was only paying half attention to the TV and heard his name pop up. They could have refuted it later

I dont like it, it smacks of typical browns ineptness. Giving the keys to Mangini now basically means its his teams and any GM will be answerable to him. Im just not sure the Mangenius has the chops to do it.

Not surprising he got another job so fast. He was the scapegoat in NY. Woody Johnson should have fired Tannenbaum instead and then fired himself.
