This case has brought back memories of Roberto Clemente dying in a plane crash trying to get aid into Managua after the earthquake. People who put money and action behind their talk and it cost them. Yet, given their beliefs, I doubt they would have done things differantly.
Lots of talk about this here in the Dallas area after his passing. Truth is, he dedicated not only all his money, but also his blood, sweat, tears and time. The radio show I listen is often very callous towards pro athletes for a laugh. None of them had anything but serious praise for Manute and how he carried himself off the court.
At first, I skipped this thread because I thought it would be something disappointing, but I'm glad that I've read it. Manute Bol should be remembered in the annals of giving.
