Did we sign him as an UDFA? I read we did but now cant find it. Can anyone confirm this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JJnWMG7Y00Y (6-3, 235. 4.2-4.4 40yd Dash)
Sounds like a good kid. I wonder if at 6' 2 230 his big enough to play TE for this offense. Guy seems very athletic playing 3 sports in high school. Could be an Antonio Gates diamond in the rough?
http://california.scout.com/a.z?s=166&p=8&c=1&nid=2009887 Yea he sure seems talented. To be that big and run that fast is impressive. In the link I attached he talks about his love for blocking for his running backs. Sounds like a Parcells type player to me.

OK i checked Miamidolphins.com and yes we HAVE signed him.. Seems like an interesting player with some possible upside. I like his desire to block and his speed for a man his size.
not bad at all i watched the vid on him looks good. We also signed WR JUSTIN WYNN.... – Played one season at Grand Rapids (Mich.) Community College (2004) ... Was a second-team Region IV National Junior College Athletic Association selection that year ... Caught 35 passes for 559 yards and five touchdowns ... Also returned 13 punts for a 14.2-yard average and a pair of scores ... Attended Snider High School in Fort Wayne, Ind.
He went to ElCo, interesting. And he's got nice physical stats for a WR, 6ish, 224lbs, 4.43 40. Though not sure about his height as some have him at 6'0, others at 6'2-6'3. http://www.nfl.com/draft/story;jses...0d5d8077566a&template=with-video&confirm=true
Yea he's seems to have the Size, speed, blocking abilities, and a knack for getting open. I'm not real sure why he wasn't drafted based on those alone. I know some teams just weren't sure what to make of him or at what position to line him up at. You never know, maybe Parcells and the boys will know how to line him up.
Aqua, why do you think he went undrafted? From his measurables and stats, I am surprised no team found him at least worthy of a 7th round pick
6'2", 230 pounds and runs a 4.4?! Jesus I'll tell you what, I'd play him at Receiver, Fullback and the H - but I'd also try him at Safety. Who knows? With 2 years of catching passes in the PAC-10 and another 2 at JUCO under his belt, added to his athleticism at that size (he lettered in football, basketball and track in high school) he might turn into a going concern for WR's trying to catch over the middle. You want 6'2", 230 pounds banging into you at full 4.4 speed while your arms are up in the air?
I'd venture that it's because he was listed as a Fullback to some, which has limited draft value; also he ran a disappointing 4.58 at one point and that probably stuck in scouts' minds because of his size and position. But he has run as low as a 4.4.
I dunno if he's 6'2, 6'-ish sure but for some reason his height fluctuates between sources. I could see him at WR and H-Back for sure. ElCo's got a good JUCO program and I wouldn't be surprised if that helped him.
I hate that team as much as any other...except the Gators; ( ) but I do end up watching them a lot because of Oregon, Cal, SC, etc. I never took much note of him except after I saw his numbers in the Arizona game (didn't watch, but he had a 98-yard TD reception) but I did notice him in the Boise State game.
Great points. It seems that every year a guy or two gets overlooked come draft time and ends up having a big impact at the next level. Colston was a great example. Hope Reece is that guy this year
I would like Hagan but he just can't catch the ball. Esp when it counts. We need an upgrade. Maybe this kid is it
i agree i like hagan but he drops too many passes maybe a hungry undrafted free agent can come in and make a huge statement and take over the postition
Hagan is a mystery; he was solid and dependable at ASU, and put up big numbers - BIG - which you can hardly do if you're dropping the ball all the time. Then from the Senior Bowl on, it's like he had 2x4's grafted onto his forearms.
I remember when we drafted him I was so excited. I knew he was a good wr who had a great college career and made a ton of catches. I also knew he had an unimpressive senior bowl but I figured what's a better reflection of a reciever, his in game ability that he showed all through college or a few workouts with no pads and different quarterbacks throwing you the ball over a weekend? I thought other teams mad a mistake by passing on him, It looks like we were the ones who made the mistake.
Theres gotta be more reasons why this kid did'nt get drafted, that kid is very aggressive and explosive of the LOS. also looked good beating the jam.
if he indeed projects as an H-Back only, there's not as many teams that are carrying them these days as there used to be... of course, with Henning in charge of our offense, we'll be running the H-Back alot. If he can show in the blocking category, he might stick, because he has the physical tools as a receiver, no doubt. He could also stick as a 3rd down back.
Did anyone catch any video highlights or hear any reports of Reece or the other rookies from today's camp? I doubt they did much but it would be nice to hear
