Anyhow, finserg is right. When I was a little younger we would call those 16-17 yr old girls that looked like they were 25... "Chicken". Why? Well, we figured that girls nowadays were maturing faster to do the hormones in meat. lol....So, if we were on the beach and seen a drop dead gorgeous woman walk by, and then spoke to her and she talked like she was in high school, one of us would say, "Chicken" to warn everyone to stay away.

Far as I'm concerned the linked article is much ado about nothing. Same as Rexy and his wife's shared interest in feet. I couldn't care less about either one. Just some FYI for those of you who have never visited Thailand. When I was active in the Marines I had to go there a number of times for training. We would get some "libo" (free time) and be able to go into town.

Well, upon arrival to the country we would get briefed about off limit places and Thai culture. Some of the sick **** that goes on there is heartbreaking. One of those off limit places was "Boy's Town". At first we all thought it was some gay part of town. Well, it's not. It's a place were pedophiles from all over the world go to have sex with kids. Mostly young orphaned boys. They were called "peg boys". They obtained this nickname because when they were small they were forced to sit on a "peg" and the peg would gradually get bigger as time went on. This would insure that they wouldn't get injured when a man "bought" them for the night. If you get my drift. Anyhow, after the briefing I just wanted to go home.)

Anyhow, there are state laws, and IMO moral laws. Girls in high school, IMO, shouldn't be running around with guys over the age of 19 years old. Especially 25 year old super stars who have the ability to really mess with a 17 year old girls head and most likely get her to do things that they normally wouldn't. A high school senior dating a college freshman, IMO, OK. A 17yr old high school senior dating a 25yr old millionaire, IMO, not OK.

Well, I have some sympathy for the Nacho in all of this, from what I've heard she had a fake ID and accessed the bar with it they had a couple of drinks and perhaps one thing led to another, what exactly was he supposed to do?

Granted it would have been better to not pick up random women at a bar, however there was literally no reasonable way for him to know she was a 17 yr old Hs Student, it was not as if he was "cruising the parking lot of the middle school all day".

Well, I've spent a lot of time in Thailand, I know the place pretty well, talk to a lot of other foreigners who have lived in Thailand for years, we discuss everything to do with the place. and as far as I'm concerned the briefing which you were given amounts to utter bullcrap. Nothing like the military to exaggerate things just a little in regards to things like this. Shock the troops to help ensure they will not get into trouble. Sure some pedos visit Thailand. They likely go to nearly every country in the world, but in Thailand, even with all the crap spewed forth from the foreign media about Thailand, pedos amount to less than 1/10 of 1% of tourists visiting the country. It is illegal for any foreigner to have sex with a Thai national who is under 18, and the Thai police take this very seriously. Only a fool would ever violate that law. Yet some are fools, because every now and then the local paper will have an article about some foreigner getting busted for underage. However, those busted still are part of a very miniscule number of tourists coming to Thailand.

 

My line? As long as the encounter is legal in the eyes of the law, then who am I to say the girl's well being was effected by her sleeping with Sanchez? The age of consent is 17 in New York. It is 16 in New Jersey. So in either place no law would have been broken. I'm not going to climb up on to some higher moral ground and rail against Sanchez, because it is not place or my business to do so. If the well being of 16-17 yr olds is so effected by having consensual sex with a partner also of legal age, as it seems you are suggesting, maybe you should work to change the law.

 

According to most people around here, he is already a creep simply because he plays for the Jets. You don't need some arbitrary formula to prove it.

Some female high school students could be considered a woman, most probably could not, especially obviously, the underclassmen. If you have for example a female high school student who turns 18 half way through her senior year, has enough credits by that time to graduate with honors, so she essentially doesn't even need to attend class the last half year, she would IMO merit being referred to as a woman.

As for the 17 yr old in question, mentally anyway, you are very likely correct, she isn't a woman, as in fully developed female member of the species. Heck, there are 25 yr olds too though who still ain't fully developed mentally.

 

For the most part no, however, Sanchez wasn't chasing her. It was a chance meeting in a crowded club. I really doubt he went into that club where he met her thinking "oh boy I'm going to look for me some 17 yr old tail tonight." He is a Jet though, so probably better we all think the worst.:wink2:

So a 24 yr man has a sexual encounter with a physically mature 17 yr old female, and it is ok to say he likes little girls? Maybe to you it is, not to me. I try to be objective regarding anyone, even Jets players. Just because a player plays for a team I may despise I'm not going to exaggerate or make up things to disparage them.

 

Difference being, she claims to have told him, point blank "I'm 17 and still in High School" and he apparently did not care, in fact he intimated that he knew that she was of legal age of consent.

While legal, to me that is a extremely poor decision on his part, if she lied to get into the club, why wouldn't she lie about 17?

She could have been younger, and that is a Strict Liability crime meaning if he had sex with her he had -0- defense to a prosecution.

 

That is a very good point Padre. Sanchez or any high profile athlete needs to be extra careful who they get involved with in the carnal sense. Even if she had been past her 18th birthday when he met her, it is still not the ideal situation he could get himself into.
