there is a huge bunch of news:
-Clemons is back
-Thiggy taking snaps with the #1's
-McG at LG
-Incognito staying at Center
-New #73
-Henne practicing
-Marshall is missing practice, that looked like a serious hammy problem to me folks, when you see the leg sort of rebound like that, like energy went all the way through it, someone had their Timbers shivered..
-Phil Merling back and practicing

Phillip Merling is practicing as well...
-
I'll be very curious to see how Richie does in a full game at C. It'd be nice if we could pick up a top LG and let Richie backup C (or battle it out with Berger for the #1 spot if he shows some promise).
-
-
week 2 of a swiss cheese line. damn, was hoping berger could start. glad thiggy is starting then. wonder who we signed? also hope that merling can play
-
anyone wanna speculate who mystery man #73 is?
-
Levi Jones? IIRC there was something about Rey Feinga as well, so maybe its him.
-
-
i think its pretty safe to say that merling didnt tore his achilles then, 5 months is not enough to recover from that
-
-
I am probably one of the few who doesn't mind Richie I at Center, imho his lack of mobility is not as much of a detriment at C over G. -
I wish the beat writers would have the guts to say outright whether it's a black guy or white guy. It's sad that they have to avoid such obvious descriptors.
I was under the impression that Joe Berger was definitely going to be back for this game. I think Chad Henne will be 1st string by the end of the week. -
This is just a short, light workout, it is a Monday after all, but starting on Wednesday we will have a much better feel for who is who.
-
henne back peddaling instead of normal drop backs according to beat writer on twitter. no link, im at work.
-
well if thigpen does start this week i expect more rollout passes employed. with a short week last week there wasnt any time to add to our package but now that we have a long week there should be more plays tailored to thigpen, assuming he starts. also expect alot more running this week. raiders run defense isnt quite the level of chicago's. in fact its quite porous. our running game should look much improved but it will be hard to gauge how much is just internal and how much is due to the lesser competition

I am happy to see Clemons back. Secondary needs to be heathly against Oakland. Ford, Heyward, Miller and Higgins are all good/fast. I was just looking at Oakland's Depth chart and I notice Heyward isn't on it. What's the story with him? on IR?

"ALL HANDS ON DECK!!!"
Tough challenge for Sparano, if he can implement his "smart, tough, disciplined" philosophy this week is the test, Rotten Richie shouldn't allow MLB's to just blitz right by him without his noticing them..if Sparano is the sort of coach he has striven to be. -
#73 is..Tony Ugoh
-
-
-
I do think it is Ugoh as it was this time in 09 that they signed Ikaika Francis, they seem fascinated with washed out guys from the 07 draft for whatever reason.
I do think Ugoh could be our LG as the Colts sort of half tried him there, he was injured, out he went in one training camp. -
SWEET! Henne will look like robo-Dan out there! If Henne doesn't play, we are screwed! Dan Marino always had the gear on...
-
hearing conflicted reports its not ugoh, its someone else.....anyone confirm?
edit: #73 is Ghiaciuc was on Deadspins top 100 worst nfl players EVER list. awesome.
bengals center for a few years

#73 is tony Ugoh
funny thing is the colts cut Ugoh so they could sign Joe Reitz when we waived him haha -
Really hope the next 6 days help Marshall a lot. If we have him and Chad Henne we definitely have a good shot. The Raiders looked really bad yesterday.
-
-
They also hung nearly 100 points up the prior two weeks. -
The way I feel is if we have both Henne and Marshall we have a better than 50/50 shot of winning. If we're missing either it goes below 50% and if neither play we're pretty much F'd. -
It would be a lot easier to win without Marshall than Henne. We did that last year...
-
we really need marshall. its really a shame that we are done as far as playoffs go, but i want to at least be able to watch marshall and see if he can get in rhythm with either thigpen or henne.

miamidolphins.com has #73 as Eric Ghiaciuc ... so no ugoh
-
Removing the "thanks" button makes me feel like I'm on a communist forum...
-
and its taking me to this article about the Dolphins sign veteran lineman Eric Ghiaciuc
